One thing I hope they don't do is turn the lock screen into a home screen basically. One thing I've not liked about a lot of Android phones is how they seem to focusing or working on turning the lock screen into a home screen.

Though I will say a FEW more options or things available on the lock screen would be very nice. Like weather! Though me getting news update and everything else right to my lock screen? Meh, I don't like that nor would want that. the lock screen is meant to be simple and serve a purpose. I don't think the lock screen should be used as a means for everything or a home screen.

I have one single wish for iOS7:

Please, Apple, make it impossible to record videos in portrait! I am sick of the ever increasing number of idiots filming in portrait - my TV is landscape, my computer screen is landscape, and the screen at the cinema is in landscape for a good reason. Having massive black bars on either side of a video just make me cringe, and I bet I‘m not alone.

More Siri: bluetooth, WiFi, 3G,... So you can access these things faster.

New UI: It's not really innovative anymore, need to make it more up-to-date.

Battery Life: If possible, don't really know if can be done through software.

NFS: Would be nice but not really necessary because it's not been used on a global scale (yet?).

A few things, one simple thing I want to do is HIDE unwanted icons. I would also like to be able to pin an app for easy access, like the flash light app for example.

I want the following (*but know it wont happen*):

1. A file storage area, accessable via drag & drop from PC/Mac. I can store various files, and open them in whatever app on the iOS device that supports the file. I dont want one file or file type locked to a particular app, but want just 1 copy on the device and the ability to open it in whatever one I choose (and set a default app is fine too)

2. Ability to set a different dafault app for things like maps, email, even internet browsing too.

3. Hide/delete icons for in-buuilt things I dont use. Stocks has never been used here, and if I use a different app for Maps, then I should be able to delete or at least hide, the Apple Maps icons

4. Everything should be allowed to be stored in folders, including newsstand

5. A refresh of the multi-tasking screen. Double click to show last run apps, but swipe up to "fill the screen" with the apps in the list. Show any that are running (background GPS apps, streaming apps, music playing apps) at the top of the list highlighted in some way. Anything below that is using no resources, so provide a "remove all" button for them to remove them from the list, as well as a "Kill all" button to stop and close ALL open apps.

6. Lock screen widgets would be nice, if done properly. Display temp, maybe a news feed, but user gets to select polling source (Wi-fi and/or 3G/LTE) and frequency of updates to ensure battery life does not suffer too badly.

7. A tidy up of the screens, layouts etc would also be nice. 5 column choice, no text, overlayed text for items, and maybe an extra row or two of icons to allow people to pack more on each screen should they choose to do so.

If they give you that, then please don't complain later at all of the "sideways" videos showing up...:p

You folks all realize, I hope, that IOS7 design and probably well into Alpha at least by this time. IOS8 probably has design somewhat set already but I'm sure minor changes in design will happen. If IOS7 beta happens this summer as expected it is well past the point where new ideas are being considered. If IOS8 is a year away the details of exactly what is happening maybe still in flux but what is going to change has probably already be set.

It is nice to have all these discussions but we might as well start the I'm disappointed in IOS7 because it doesn't have......

What I want out of iOS7 and osx9

What I want out of iOS7 and osx9 is

1-Mail accounts syncing across devices desktop and mobile (come on apple you did this with mobile me)

2-Full Screen support for multiple screens ie have a full screen rss reader on my small screen and use the other two as normal

3-Click a tel link on a website or select a number in contacts on my mac and have the option to start a call on my iphone

4-Have all my sms texts in the messages app on osx and be able to send sms from the osx app via the iPhone over iCloud

5-Finger print unlock/password for ios and for osx - use the phone over iCloud as a finger print reader

6-location bassed calling for landlines, either set a home area so if i chose swansea 01792 would be added to the start of the dialled 765439 just like if you picked up your land line and just dialled 765439 (i am aware that the situation may be different in other countries

7- In Numbers fix it so that when i open a spreadsheet on the mac it doesn't remove my forms or change my table styles when i next open it on my ipad!!!

1. Preview app!!! It makes no sense to have preview on your mac store pdfs in the cloud and then to not be able to access it from your idevice. I use keynote and pages extensively and icloud works seamlessly for me. I think this is a big oversight on apples part when their priority is to have devices seamless work together

I agree. They bothered to implement icloud support for preview, it's odd that IOS devices did not get the same benefit. I hope it was simply left out of IOS6 due to insufficient time (like how safari for IOS is conspicuously lacking a unified search/address bar).

I don't mind what Jony Ive is doing. But the crucial thing for me is DEFAULT APPS. Give me that, I'll remain loyal.

Why would there be "sideways" videos? Use a square sensor for the camera, and it would allow 16:9 landscape in both orientations, thanks to the phones rotation sensor.

Notification sync between devices. Tired to view all my notifications 3 times.

Better multitasking. New way to switch app and the apps should have 5-10 min to finish their tasks.

Better stock app. Mail needs an urgent refresh since most of us use email so often.

Can someone make mock-ups now? I seek entertainment.

Someone has made a nice camera mockup from theverge.

I really like that. It simply takes out the excess.

I really like this lockscreen as well. The lockscreen is the only part of the current UI I actually HATE. I've been wanting them to change it for a while.

I agree, IMO the lock screen is one of the ugliest GUIs currently in iOS. It should be the first thing that gets improved.

So what your saying is have the phone do the reverse of what the people taking the video are doing to you? Have HUGE black bars on the top and bottom of the phone screen while shooting the video and a tiny 16:9 image showing while you shoot video?

Not saying that isn't actually a good idea...maybe it would force those people to turn the phone sideways to see what they are recording.

I'm also wondering if some people shoot in a vertical mode on purpose, like when they can't fit what they want to see in the image (vertically) because they are too close to the subject?
