I know, you Apple fanboys are going to yell because "it's only a beta", but I've had enough. I've had an iPhone since the original, and I expected a large change this year, but this is ridiculous. The changes they made are HORRID. Apart from Control Center, every single change is for the worse. They favored design over usability in MANY cases and the design is still the ugliest user interface on a large scale mass-market operating system since Windows 2000. It is honestly terrible. This is coming from someone who used to love Apple, it is horrible. I'm downgrading to iOS 6, waiting for my upgrade and going to Android. The icons look horrible, too much white, the homescreen looks like crap, there isn't enough distinction between different lines, notification center is for NOTIFICATIONS, not the calendar.
    Just no.
    Jony Ive: THIS SUCKS.

Seriously, I completely respect people's opinions and their right to have them, but did you really have a reason to create a whole new thread instead of scanning for one of the others discussing the design or the reaction to the OS?

The more I use it the more I like it, so obviously ymmv.

It's a matter of personal preference. Just because you don't like the interface after the dramatic changes from iOS 6 does not mean other people don't.

I don't like some of the changes as well, but I know other people may, so I don't go around saying iOS 7 sucks just because I don't like it personally.

There's no accounting for your taste on the other issues you mentioned, but this... all you have to do is select the "All" button at the top of notification center and it works just like it did in iOS6.

switch to Android. Apple is not forcing you to stay with iOS. Too many have been complaing " omgzzz iOS looks the same as the first iPhone OS, we need change!! it's too boring!"
    iOS7: OMGGZZZ its ugly!i miss iOS 6
Really? suck it up, you wanted change, dont like it. switch.
    Not you( in general)

You don't like that they put design over usability in many cases and yet you're going to switch to Android, the prince of hidden menus?

    Good luck.

iOS 6: "iOS 6 didn't change anything! This is the worst version of iOS!"
iOS 7: "iOS 7 was redesigned! This is the worst version of iOS!"

the beta is garbage. epic garbage. its too buggy for me to do anything with. and it lags. lacking the signature aplple fluidness. to hell with it until the final release. i do like the new look though.

Am I the only one that is completely satisfied with iOS 7? I am legitimately pleased with every part even the "ugly" default icons. The only thing I wish they would do is add more "guy-ish" dynamic backgrounds. Other than that I believe iOS 7 is perfect and on its way to fit in perfectly with everyone.

You don't like iOS 7, stick to iOS 6 nobody can force you to update.

But all I see on the forum and other places around the net are some whiny trolls, they just criticize everything and anything that Apple comes up with. Personally, I like iOS 6 and so far from what I've seen I like iOS 7 even more. ;)

WWDC was also a great event for Apple, one of the best in recent times.

Having used iOS 7 for 5 days and besides some unusually long animations iOS 7 is much more powerful. Since apps load metadata with notifications there is no more loading when opening the email app from a notification, and since apps can run in the background everything feels faster. The UI is great, granted its a bit scattered but I think apple has plenty of time to make everything constant.

Oh man. And this is coming from a guy with a Galaxy Nexus. (One of the best Android phones imo). No Im serious...if a guy that uses a pure Google Android phone says he likes iOS 7. Thats something.

This has been my thought on every reaction I've seen about iOS 7.

The rumors were right, it is definitely very polarizing.

If the look is what's bothering you, just jailbreak and install an ios 6 theme when one comes out. Hold onto 6 until that point. This way you'll get the look of 6, with the increased functionality of 7. Problem solved.

Winning and crying over iOS will have no impact on people who like it. I like iOS 7 and the more I use it the more I like, it's loaded with great features and it's very intuitive. I know most people who say bad things about iOS 7 they would say it in any condition because they just can't stand simplicity that offers stability and for that they can't accept reality over fantasy.

you know which was the worst version...iOS 1. I mean come on... no Siri, no control centre, no notification centre, no wallpaper, hell the camera couldn't even zoom.....

downgrade to iOS6. Go to Android once iOS 7 is released. Don't let the door hit you on the way out. Apple will not miss you.

Android is good and so is iOS. It is just about impossible to say iOS 7 isn't good, especially with features like control center, great multitasking, airdrop, the new safari, brand new UI, etc. With some minor changes and tweaks, a well running iOS 7 will be a great boost for Apple.

Something that would piss me off however is if Apple doesn't add some sort of capability for iPads to have side by side apps soon. They really need a couple of tablet-only features like that.

iOS 1-6: New things added each version = Loved/Hated
    iOS 7: Completely Redesigned = Loved/Hated

Fans are complete whiners, and say they are going to Android. Wether it is a new iOS, new iPhone, or whatever, and they never do, and that's why Apple just doesn't care. They fix, but only to listen to an hour of non-bitching bliss.

You do realize it is a beta right? It has bugs and is far from perfect which is wht they tell you not to use your every day phone for the testing.

Seriously, grow up man. Coming in here calling a bunch of people fanboys, then ranting like a child who had his sweets taken away is not the way to conduct yourself on here. Neither will it get you any respect for yourself or the content of your post.

Pathetic excuse, to not update. Eventually the OP will be forced to if they need to restore or use the most current apps.
