Hopefully when it's actually ready--as in properly and fully tested with the issues that were present completely addressed--and not before that.
if they do testing that could be awhile... a week

Then that's what it will be. The alternative is higher likelihood of seeing what we saw earlier today, so I would argue most would have no issues waiting a bit more rather than dealing with (more) issues.if they do testing that could be awhile... a week

I would imagine that everybody at apple dropped what they were doing to get this resolved ASAP.
I really hope it's before tomorrow.Ya I can't see it being long.
The average person isn't capable of downloading the 8.0 ISPW file and downgrading their OS back to 8.0.

Why can't Apple just push 8.0.0 as a new update to allow people to get their cell service back?
That's what gets me more than anything....why aren't they putting out a statement or something or telling people where to go for wifi so they can re download 8.0.0 or go to their nearest apple store for help. FFS what a cluster....
How Apple has handled this thus far is clearly Amateur Hour at Cupertino....
Lots of people got fired when antenna problems were there with iPhone 4 with Steve around, right? People have the imaginary ideas of what Steve would or wouldn't do like they actually know him better than most who actually do know him. It's fun to imagine things, isn't it?If Steve Jobs were still alive, half the company would be fired by now based on all this crazy stuff.
1. So many leaks, guessing about 200 people or so fired for this
2. Livestream not working for the announcement and having Chinese voice overlay, probably about 50 people fired over this
3. Apple store site being down way longer than it should be on preorder night, probably like 400 people fired over this
4. "Bend-gate" has to be like 500 people fired
5. 8.0.1 update debacle, like another 500 people fired
So that's maybe 1650 people fired over the last few weeks alone
Going on 10 hours with no cell service. Lucky I've had wifi everywhere I went today or I would have thrown my iPhone in the garbage (ok I would have sold it).
I'm an apple loyalist. But if they doesn't get resolved by the time I get up tomorrow morning. I will be extremely disappointed.
All would be fixed if apple gave everybody that upgrade to 8.0.1 in the 2 hours that it was up a small Gift or something.
