iOS 8.0 Beta 2 Bug Fixes and Changes

There's a bug in the beta for sure..

I have no additional apps on the ipad except my own app for testing. All the setting are as default. I downgraded back to 7.1.1 and 4G works fine.

Back to 8 beta 2 and no 4G again. Curiously, iPad says I have no connection to the cellular network while showing full bars and 3G.

Works fine with 7.1.1

I think this is quite annoying, especially if you accidentally zoom out or you want to make sure you're not zoomed in. In Apple's defense, if you pinch slowly and not abruptly, it does not go to the new tab overview.

I don't have an iPad but it does this on Yosemite Safari which is annoying too. Here the zoom out gesture initiates the animation which is then out of your control, is it like that on iPad too?

It would be so much better if the animation remained in your control for as long as you had your two fingers there. So when you saw that zooming out started to enter tab overview, you could then spread your fingers out again to return to the page. Much like how the 4 finger spread on OS X works. That gesture temporarily moves all windows to the edges so you can see the desktop, but the windows track your finger movements so you can bring them in and out how you like - very cool.
 
The contacts in the multitasking screen that don't have a picture (just the initials) now have proper Gaussian blur.

I'm having the same 4G issue here as some others. Residing in the Netherlands and connecting through T-Mobile. Prior to the update I had perfect 4G reception, after iOS8 Beta 2 though, the function has just disappeared, and in settings I can only enable/disable 3G now. It seems it has disabled my 4G functionality completely.

I don't really care that much though, 4G only makes sure i hit my limit each month because youtube etc. now think they can send higher quality video through, which means more bandwidth usage than on 3G.

Do hope it gets fixed, I don't like major functions being shut down entirely..

Nevermind: A reboot seems to have fixed the functionality in my settings, although it still refuses to connect through 4G

It looks like i'll be rolling back to 7.1.1 tonight then, 3G around here is literally unusable. Has been for weeks, apparently there's an upstream data issue with the network which is crippling 3G connections

Yep I had the same issue. Back on ios7 now until a fix found as this is a killer for me.
 
I can't recieve picture messages over iMessage. It just says downloading 2MB/2MB. I haven't tested regular(green) messaging. I also rebooted the phone to no avail.

Hold down the smiley face on the keyboard and turn it back on or swipe up on the grey area where predictive text is suppose to be.

I'm not sure if this was in B1, but Continuity now works through multitasking window as well, not confined to lock screen alone.

I was referring to keyboards such as Emoji, French etc. 3rd party ones won't exist until 3rd parties provide them. I think this might be technically possible while iOS 8 is still in beta, because it seems to be possible to create an app in XCode 6 which will run under iOS 7 with the necessary payload for the extension. Whether Apple will accept such an app at the moment remains to be seen.
 
I don't think iCloud photo library is working in Beta 2. I setup my Beta 2 device as a new device and I get no iCloud Library photos. I restored back to Beta 1, setup as a new device and my iCloud Photo Library loads all my pictures.
 
Same as others here, my iPhone 5 is not connecting to LTE in Germany with the telecom. In the settings I got the LTE switch after a reboot
 
Am I the only person who lost all my contacts from iCloud? Well it's still there on iCloud but contacts are not appearing on the iPhone.

Regardless now I am receiving my SMS on my OS X 10.10 messages app now. No more headache receiving OTP from my bank!!

Random Keyboard Clicks

Anyone else getting clicks in random apps, even if the keyboard click option is off?
 
After doing a reset of all settings on my device I still can't send texts or iMessages. The app just freezes, anyone else? I'm using a 4S
 
This is a thread for bug fixes and changes NOT a thread for reporting bugs/issues. If you're having problems, please (for the love of god) do a clean install or at least reset all settings before posting. It'll fix 99% of the problems you're reporting with the native Apps/functions.
 
I did reset all settings do before you have a fit because I asked a question read my post.

Okay, so you did. But that's not the issue. You are posting a bug on a thread for "bug fixes and changes". There is a separate bug thread for you talk about issues/bugs with the Beta IOS.
