Well I tried to reset all settings to resolve the 4G/LTE issue on my iPhone 5 and it would not go past 50%. Currently restoring to a clean ios8 beta 2 install via iTunes. Lets see if it works on LTE after this. if not its back to 7.1.1 for me.

contact images gone

Has anyone reported this as a bug yet, if not I will

the contact images in the multitasking screen are gone, it shows only the initials for my contacts. Beta 1 the images were there.

any fix to this?

Also, when you delete a contact from within the contacts app, the whole app force quits.

Phonegap is now working on Beta 2

Another thing for the list:

Phonegap Apps are now able to run on iOS 8 beta 2.

There was a bug on beta 1 that prevented Phonegap apps from loading their screens. Its fixed now. :)

Best

Siri ain't working for me. Anyone got a clue how to enable it instead of daft Voice Control?

I don't have an iPad but it does this on Yosemite Safari which is annoying too. Here the zoom out gesture initiates the animation which is then out of your control, is it like that on iPad too?

It would be so much better if the animation remained in your control for as long as you had your two fingers there. So when you saw that zooming out started to enter tab overview, you could then spread your fingers out again to return to the page. Much like how the 4 finger spread on OS X works. That gesture temporarily moves all windows to the edges so you can see the desktop, but the windows track your finger movements so you can bring them in and out how you like - very cool.

On iOS, the animation is under your control luckily, which is why I could snap a photo halfway through the transition. So if you don't want to zoom out, you can zoom in again provided you didn't let go of the screen already. Then, you'd have to wait until you can pinch back into the window.

Thanks for getting back, I may request this on OS X then.

Can anyone confirm that the alarm clock is working in beta 2?

My alarm clock worked just fine with beta 1 but with beta 2, all of my alarms went off silently (vibrate only) this morning.
The phone was set to silent and it was during a DND period but the alarms always sounded before, both under beta 1 and iOS 7.

Does anyone have the explore tab in the app store that they demonstrated in the keynote?

I'm getting a crash when I attempt to access the emoticons in imessage - anyone else?

I'm on a 4s so its probably peculiar to that model.

Quick reply doesn't seem to be working on b2.

I have the 5s, with a passcode set, and when a message comes in, and I swipe to do a quick reply, it prompts me for my passcode (or fingerprint), then takes me to the homescreen, then opens Messages.

If this is as designed, there's literally no purpose for quick reply with a passcode set, since it's not saving me any steps over what I could do anyway.

Lockscreen swipe-up camera FC's when it focuses and I press the capture button. Normal camera is fine when I open it from the homescreen.

Swipe from right to left, not left to right. Then hit the blue Reply button.

sometimes when on a call using the earpods, pressing the sleep/wake button ends the call instead of turning off the screen. It's random...5S
