Quick reply with the phone unlocked and preview turned off is now fixed.

Previously in beta 1 when you'd swipe down, only "iMessage" or "text message" would show. Now the actual message pops up so you can read and reply accordingly.

Very excited to see this addressed!

This is why you always back up to iTunes prior to installing betas. Keep both!

i did & restored from it which is working fine, i was saying trying to backup to icloud from the device not restoring from icloud, usually just creating another backup overwrites whats necessary but since beta 2 it refuses to overwrite it unless its deleted every beta i touched since ios 5 never did that before after reverting

wouldn't this be good in notifications too ? at present with no preview it only lets you dismiss when swiping right rather being able to swipe down, the message popping up then reply and dismiss. Just a thought.

I was getting a weird bug earlier today where phone calls wouldn't display ANYTHING on the screen. The phone would vibrate/ring, and once the call was done ringing it would show missed call, but it displayed nothing for me to answer or ignore or response to the call. If I dialled a call, it would start ringing, but the "in-call" screen wouldn't appear (the status bar also wouldn't turn green).

I did a hardboot and it seems to have fixed the issue for now, but people should be aware that it's a thing.

I think that's what he means.

Is anyone else having the multitasking bug where in some apps, when you press the home button once it initiates multitasking sometimes?

Same. Also phone screen was freezing where i couldn't interact after i dialed calls. Had to switch away from it and come back.

anyone get the "no content" screen in the "artist" tab of the music app even though iTunes match is turned on? i can see all my songs if i click songs, but if i click "artists" it says "no content" and i can't see a list of artists.

Sorry if this is a known issue, background audio is getting stopped when browsing with Safari on rMini. Anyone else getting this?

Much snappier indeed. Grindr still crashing on mine when tapping on a message. Then again, that app is notoriously bad when it comes to stability.

That's still happening to me on Grindr too. Did you do a clean reinstall? Or was your Grindr info brought in from a 7.x.x restore? I restored from a backup, and wasn't sure if maybe that was the issue, and just haven't had the time to sit down and do a clean reinstall yet.

The problem for me is that whenever I double tap the home button to view the open apps, it crashes when I select one of them. Also, when trying to use emojis in a text, it freezes the app & then crashes. It didn't do this in iOS 8 Beta 1 lmao

I don't know if this is new to beta 2 but there is a option to change the left swipe in the mail app from "read/unread" to "flag/unflag "
