I know this is killing my battery on the iPad Air 2. Ridiculous

Sorry to hear that since on my iPad4 with 96% remaining I have 1hour and 21min usage. Unless it drops like a rock from here on out, that seems pretty good to me.

What a shame, still no full support for 3rd party keyboards. What was the idea to add it in the first place when they dont support them...

I think it's funny people were foaming at the mouth waiting for this update, hoping it would fix things when in reality most people don't perceive any difference AND it patches JB.

I have a feeling 8.2 from what I've read of beta development so far isn't going to bring much help either, it's really just to push the watch as I sorta predicted anyways. Especially with best earnings ever just announced, they don't need tight QC on software to "succeed" it has been proven.

"it just works" has transformed into "it just flies off shelves"

Who's with me as a part of the 8.1.1 6+ league of extraordinary gentlemen?

My 6 plus is still on 8.1.1. I haven't seen anything that makes me want to upgrade yet to 8.1.3. Lately there seems to be more of a possibility of things going wrong then going right.

"It just works" is a myth now.

Well with that attitude, yeah.

8.1.1 is a sure-fire winner when it comes to battery life, but it's a bugfest on the 6+. Landscape mode is useless with that version of iOS.

Not for me. :) 8.1.3 fixed almost all of my issues. The copy and paste works far less intermittently than before.

So far iOS 8.1.3, including spotlight / 3rd party keyboards, is working much better for me.

... that was... until I dropped my phone and shattered the screen. WHOOPS.

iPad 3 and iOS 8.1.3 anybody ??

Hi there,

Anyone here with an old iPad3 with the "new" iOS 8.1.3 ?

Does this version make it ok for iPad3 users, or should I wait till 8.2.x ??

8.1.3 fine here. Agree on App switching faster imho--:)

BTW Yosemite went fine also--

I don't see much difference on my Air but I wasn't having any trouble with the previous release. So, news is good news I suppose.

Control center pops up smoother, app switching is a tad faster, battery life is too early to tell. I haven't had any of the bugs people are talking about so I can't say it fixed anything. I however won't be buying an apple watch, it's going to be way too expensive and will have limited capabilities and will be over hyped. Just like the first of any apple product lol. Plus my iPhone is the only iOS device I own. I'm a big fan of android for phones and windows for tablets and computers.

I'll see how my wife's Air update goes. "Unfortunetly" my daughter-in-law will by the iWatch. They buy practically every Apple product that comes out.

My iPhone never told me there was an update…..:roll eyes:

Only when I went to iTunes did I see it. I have been busy, so I wasn't connecting to iTunes as often, but why didn't I get the update notification on the Settings icon?

Does anyone know if this fixes the issue with texting? Where it freezes up and blacks out going from vertical to landscape….

My 6 is buggy with a lot of things. Not happy with it lately

Mine doesn't freeze. But, not sure if it ever did--

The update doesn't autmotically show up the very day it's been released. Usually takes a few days or so before you would get notified.

My issues with videos in YouTube and Safari are better, but not entirely fixed.

Scrubbing is still flaky, but videos do "buffer" significantly faster after moving the time indicator.

It's taking for friggin' ever to download. Apple servers on overdrive???

Yesterday when I installed OS X 10.10.2 it took hours on my 120Mb/s connection for a 500MB download.

Today my MBP is taking as long to do 10.10.2 and I'm only getting 100kb/s downloading iOS 8.1.3 for my phone, still have a iPad Air and iPad Air 2 to do after that.

This is infuriating.

It's taking forever tonight to download, yes. About 2 hours. You'd think 8.1.3 fixed every bug and everyone is wanting to download it at once. :p
