it is ridiculous to have such a problem and the apple stores simple refuse to help also.

Some people experiencing this, and some don't. If there are more, there would be pages and pages on this thread.
That's interesting.
I've seen coworker's 5c with 8.2 that does not have this issue, even with lower spec hardware compared to the 6 plus.
Is it possible a hardware issue on these affected ones?

Theres also the consideration that people experience this and don't notice it because it's something that happens occasionally or under particular circumstances that aren't as common for everyone. Then there are those who experience and notice it but don't really bother taking about it (and many who don't even go to forums or anything like that).

Most people, if not all, are experiencing this. Remember that this animation issue is not happening all the time. If you are using the phone fast like I do, and if your eyes are very observant, then you will see it at some point.

When I had this animation thing, I asked my girlfriend, if she had this same issue, too. She simply said "No, I don't see it on my iPhone." She has also an iPhone 5S like I do. First I thought "S...t ! I have defective faulty phone!"

But when we met, I started using her phone the way I use it, and there it was. I was able to replicate this issue 3 times. Ofcourse it was happening on occasion. I had spend like 10 minutes playing with her phone.

When I showed her this issue, she was like "oh this is nothing, it's not important, I would have never realized it myself." :)

So some people, unlike us, don't even aware that this issue is there. They don't see it. But it is there. Not all the time, but there.

I am pretty sure about 5 & 5S, beacause I use them both. But I have also heard people using 6 & 6+ as well. But I have never heard about 4Ss, 5Cs or any iPads...

----------

I don't want to give you more bad news but the upcoming iOS 8.3 will have the same animation issue as well. :((( At least the people who are using the BETA version of 8.3 say the animation issue is still there. It hasn't been fixed yet.

I doubt that it will be fixed with the public version of 8.3 either....

:(

since I updated to ios 8.2, I also have this bug.
For me it is very frustrating, and happens to me many times.
I tried to do a clean install from recovery, but does not change the situation :(

It's a trivial bug in the latest public version of iOS so reinstalling or anything like that won't magically get rid of it. Also, not sure what's so very frustrating about it.

Because it's ugly and ruins the smooth experience...

For something that's present for a split of a second and usually only on occasion, while it can certainly be seen as being out of place and maybe even ugly in a way, saying that it actually ruins anything is stretching it beyond what something trivial like that can really be stretched to.

You are right.

I did 3 fresh reinstalls from scratch and same issue is still there. I wasted my time. :(

iOS 8.3 Beta still has this bug. I doubt that official 8.3 will fix it.

8.4 will be too late...

Official has been out for a few days now and it seems like it's still there based on various accounts.

I see it happen on my iPhone 6 as well. I might be in the minority but I had been sticking to 8.0 since I got my iPhone and have skipped every update up until 8.3

So far I like 8.3 but between small minor things and some battery drain issues I wish I would have stuck to 8.0

I have the same problem since 8.2
Setting as a new iPhone doesn't solve the problem. Good job, Apple!

I don't know. I just try everythig to solve the problem that is too difficult for Apple.

Nothing you can do to resolve an issue that is in the OS code (I mean perhaps short of jailbreaking and installing some tweak that overwrites or affects that code with the bug in some way).

Guess you're right. Today I've seen both iP6 and iP6+ in nearby store. Both 8.3. Both with statusbar bug.
Amazing.

I have never even noticed it.
