1) Screen freezing (Seldom, maybe once a month?)
2) Tab & app reloading/refreshing (Always, due to lack of RAM)
3) Spinning data wheel in Safari (Never saw it since 8.1)
4) App crashes (Rare)
5) Calendar alerts flashing up & then immediately vanishing without me cancelling or snoozing them (Never had this issue)
6) Landscape/portrait issues (Not using a 6 Plus)
7) Copy & paste in Safari (Works fine)
8) Losing WiFi connection when the signal is weak & then my phone requiring me to reconnect manually despite the network being available (Never)
9) Random screen dimming (Never)
10) Control centre and Notification centre disappearing on occasion (Never)

It is interesting how two people with the same device can have such vastly different experiences.

I've been fortunate in that I haven't had nearly the issues others have had. Copy and paste was a huge one for me but that seems fixed in 8.3.

My few complaints are:

-Sometimes control center doesn't pull up when swiping up from the bottom

- The accelerometer sometimes doesn't rotate the screen.

-Sometimes my iPhone 6 just freezes. It seems to happen less with 8.3 so far.

Can we all stop kvetching about tab reloading? We all know it, we know why it does, Apple seems to be addressing it slowly with the increased RAM in the iPad Air 2. I'm assuming the 6S/S+ will get the same upgrade- FINALLY.

Apple uses their own phones, they have to experience it as well- which makes it more frustrating that it is still such an issue- I agree.

We all know it. It's getting old listening/reading about it.

Thanks for confirming it isn't just me. I have this issue on my 6+ with 8.2 installed.

I have to swype right and then back and then it will come up. Slightly annoying.

You're welcome. It's weird and inconsistent as to when it happens, I can't seem to find a pattern.

It's running great on my 6 plus. But isn't this Apple's way lately? I remember iOS 7.1 was like a brand new OS. If Apple can get iOS 9 this stable on the first go it's going to be great.

Judging by iOS 7.0.x and iOS 8.0.x, iOS 9 also could be buggy if they will introduce more new features. If rumours are true about iOS 9, that they will be only fixing bugs and improving performance, then it should be ok. But honestly I prefer more features because there is some places where Apple must improve asap, like mail attachments, uploading files (not only photos) and some more...

In the time you typed that you could've searched Google for the beta and be downloading already, just saying.

I'd rather just wait until I get an invite to the beta testing or when it officially releases. Not like it adds anything incredibly useful over 8.2 anyway.

I wouldn't be surprised if iOS 9 is a mostly stability release.

I think the public is now more concerned about bugs (to the point where less savvy users make up bugs) than they are about new features.

I'm on the public beta and have been waiting for reasons to pop into the feedback app but it's been nothing but smooth sailing.

The one thing I did report was the difficulty pulling up control center while the keyboard is up. Tthis has been an issue since it was introduced but hey, squeaky wheel gets the grease right?

I just went here and pasted my 6 Plus model number (12F61) in to the URL in place of the old number (the original URL is for 8.3 beta 2).

Maybe it's just me, but Apple needs to focus on maximizing iOS 8 instead of rushing out iOS 9 just to say they have a new OS to coincide with their new phone. Come on, Apple!

Unless that's what Apple is (hopefully) doing and calling it iOS 9.

Exactly. Anyone that says 1GB of RAM is enough, is lying to themselves and denying the fact that Safari tab reloading can be a real PIA. It is a pleasure using the iPad Air 2 with its 2GB of RAM. I never run into the reloading tab problem. Ever! The next iPhone should come with a minimum of 2GB of RAM, as well as every iPad from here on out.

Ditto, Ive been running games and can go right back to safari with a few tabs still open.

i'm very happy with 8.3 on all my devices, including my iPhone 4S.

You're right that THIS should have been the initial release. Thankfully, nothing has really slowed down for me.

Except that doesn't make much sense, unlike this thread.

Not really. If Apple could have made 8.3 or 8.2 like they did 8.0, they would have done so. It's simply unrealistic and stupid to expect every OS release to be perfect, otherwise we'd still be running Windows 3.1 and iOS 7.6.

Clearly they didn't do so and rushed it out. Deadlines often play a bigger role than quality and that gets worse when it happens to a larger degree and/or more and more often. No one expects perfection, but to expect things to be worse or just sub par is also a rather poor stance.

Well maybe Apple should hire you so you could show them how to do it right?

Or they could consider not rushing as much as they do and get things right or at least closer to being right. Seems like a more rational approach all around, and something they've been doing for the most part or certainly better pre-iOS 7 days.

No, they've always gone by a schedule. They just are adding more things these days than before, and the OS in general is getting more complicated.

Thus they are rushing more these days--keeping the schedule the same but redesigning more and adding more. Not a practical/good way of going about it.
