Didn't appear to be present for Touch ID devices in 8.3 but it appears that in 8.4, iTunes will store your password for Free Downloads. At least, that's what I was prompted after a reset when trying to download a free app. I input my password and iTunes offered to store my password for Free App downloads.

I saw this as well tonight.

I'm really thinking this could be be case.

That would be interesting, an iOS beta that never made it out of beta on purpose.

Anyway, the Up Next feature is really nice and I've been using it a lot with no problems. Some graphical studdering and tearing here and there in the Music app but considering this is a first beta of a major UI revamp its not bad. Otherwise, the rest of the OS seems as stable as iOS 8.3 but with a quirk thrown in here and there. Performance wise, it's the same as 8.3 IMO.

While not completely broken, lots of issues abound Music Playback & AirPlay on iPad Air 2. Songs skip on their own, AirPlay changes speakers midway in a setup with multiple speakers! Lots of graphical glitches present in the Music app.

I have experienced no such problems

So at least for me, the Music app is completely unusable in Carplay under 8.4. Anytime I try to launch it, it crashes instantly. Tried a few dozen times, and it never opens whatsoever.

Is anyone else having the battery bug where it's not showing the correct percentage times on iPhone 5?

I'm hoping the Music app is great enough that it solves my problem of having to use 4 apps for music.

I currently use Music, Spotify, Google Music, and Pandora.

Pandora for radio.
Spotify for things I want to listen to but not purchase
Music for my current iTunes library
Google Music for my library in the cloud, which I can download to my iDevice when I feel like listening to something not synced to my phone.

With Beats, this should be resolved.

Has anyone seen the status bar sizing bug yet?

Yep. Every single time I unlock. Quick fade out to the smaller font. VZW 6 Plus. Battery is back to the terrible 8.3 Beta 2 and my WiFi is terrible as well. Wonder when this build was made? Prior to or concurrent with the 8.3 Betas? A few things seems like they were built from an early 8.3 build?

Battery's actually much better than 8.3 on my end

Also, the status bar is bigger on the lock screen on purpose. It's supposed to make it easier to quick glance information at the top. I don't know why everyone thinks it's a bug considering it's been like that since iOS 7.

New music app is great except the fact you can't tap the album art while playing a song to look at the album track list. It's driving me nuts.

Which one is that exactly?

Battery in status bar doesn't update when plugged in, random reboots occur, iPhone cannot be restored from backup because of an unknown error as well. Battery jumps and acts sporadic when plugged into Lightning or charger.

Personally, I never saw any of that in 8.3 nor currently in 8.4 b1.

I figured out that it maybe isn't the beta, but instead kernel panics... :( I am seeing panic.plist on 8.3 as well. I am disappointed and ugh... Is there no fix for this?

I realize it's the first beta, but I find it odd they got rid of the icloud icon next to songs that haven't been downloaded to the device. Makes it pretty difficult to tell whats stored locally/only in the cloud.

Music app was working for me, now it will not load at all. Anyone having this issue?

Mine stopped working about 4 days ago. No matter what I do, hard reset iPhone, copy new music to it, kill the app and relaunch, it always crashes half a second after launching.

Hoping for Beta 2 this week
