Oh come on. You're being extreme about this. It doesn't matter anyway. A person can update to iOS9 whenever because the Music 3 month trial begins when you sign up.
As I understand it, you need iOS 8.4 to get Apple Music. So first you get 8.4 and then music. With only an hour between the referenced release times, that can create quite a log jam.

I'm going to say sorry in advance as I know this question has probably been asked many many times.

Can I update to iOS 8.4 OTA from beta 4?

iOS 8.4 public beta 3 is the worst iOS ever. IMAP accounts are not showing all e-mails, UE roaming option is sometimes displayed twice, 3G icon is disappearing itself even with Cellular data to ON making the phone offline.

Also horrible polish translation - "Głosowy i danych" which means "Voicy and datas" instead of Voice and data.

Not just the album, her entire catalog on iTunes. She's not on spotify at all.
She says Apple Music is not an exclusive so if she doesn't come to Spotify now then she's a hypocrite. I wonder if Led Zeppelin will be on Apple Music? I believe their catalog is exclusive to Spotify right now.

But spotify has less of a catalog than Apple, so there's going to be quite a bit of migration for that, along with people preferring the ease of native integration for iOS.
Aside from Taylor Swift I'd love to know what big names Apple Music will have that Spotify doesn't. Will it have AC/DC? We know they won't have the Beatles (other than through iTunes Match, but Google has that as well). But is there another big name they've got that no one else has? I'm thinking no otherwise they would have been shouting about it from the rooftops.

Stop listening to these idiots,
1) Yes, if you are on public beta, you will be able to OTA to final version
2) Yes you can do iTunes update (just download the firmware file and install it manually) regardless of which beta you have

Great, thanks. Not sure if he was taking the you-know-what but I had a feeling it could be done. I'll update OTA from beta 4 to 8.4 I think.

Yes. Two hours earlier than normal. Normally updates are released at 1800. We'll get the update at 1600 followed by Apple Music at 1700 (if we get it, there has been lots of conflicting messages on here that only the U.S. will be getting it on launch, the Apple U.S. site says coming 6/30/15 while the UK site, as well as many others, says coming soon!)

I haven't thought about that and it wouldn't surprise me if Apple opted for a 'slow' roll out.

Then again, Apple wants everyone on this service ASAP to get started on those 3 month trials, fingers will be crossed!

There's a difference between not being exclusive and not going on Spotify......

There's 7 popular artists not on Spotify, (Taylor Swift, AC/DC, Radiohead, Tool, Garth Brooks, Bob Seger, The Beatles) all of which, apart from The Beatles, who will more than likely be on Apple Music. As for if they're "big" depends on personal opinion really. All will be clearer tomorrow.

Additionally Led Zeppelin being exclusive to Spotify was for a year, which I believe, ended earlier in the year.....

Its more down to what distributors artists use. As the leading digital music store, iTunes is where alot of artists put their music as it has the widest audience. So a lot of smaller indie labels go on iTunes.

Spotify however, what wit the minimal payout fees, doesnt attract a lot of smaller, lesser known artists.

This is what I believe is the main difference. So for example, that cool remix of a song you like that featured as track 4 on an artists ep will be on itunes but likely won't be on Spotify. The best thing to do is search spotify for the artists and songs you love and then do the same on iTunes.

Apple Music doesn't have the full catalog of iTunes.

Apple does have an advantage in that they can potentially merge playlists of bought songs (from the huge iTunes collection) with streamed songs. It will be interesting to see what card Apple plays in regard to iOS integration as Spotify has that done pretty seamlessly.

Not sure if this has been answered...

...but it sounds like the the Apple Music matched song feature AND iTunes Match are two separate services. So if we sign up for Apple Music, can we cancel our $25/year iTunes Match subscription? Or do we need both? Will iTunes Match as we know it today grow to 100,000 songs, or just Apple Music's match component?

I'll update later in the evening and let you heathens have it trying to be "first". It's not that serious.

Plus I want to see what "bugs" Apple has for us this time. Let's face it, their software quality has gone downhill ever since Tim Cook took over.

For pete's sake people it's not rocket science.

If you have Apple Music, then you get all the benefits of iTunes Match for "free" as it's included in your $9.99/month.

If you don't want Apple Music you can continue to subscribe to iTunes Match for $25. It's your responsibility to cancel iTunes Match if you sign up for Apple Music.

It can't be any clearer than that.

Since Apple Music is probably using the existing iTunes Match system, it makes sense that the limit applies to both. Otherwise they'll have an unnecessary duplication there.

And that's also why I think they'll do away with iTunes Match and slowly fade it off... Wouldn't make sense for them to keep offering two similar services that are quite different when you look at it closely. I.E. Apple Music is not going to allow you to "upgrade" your music to higher quality as iTunes Match does. At least I didn't hear Apple Music being capable of doing that...

Only if they merge it and keep it the same price as iTunes Match. :p

Some of us still want to use iTunes Match but don't want to pay extra to rent music.
