I'm sorry but that is simply not a big enough window for people to upgrade. I have a feeling some people will miss the launch.

Why can't they just release it tomorrow and give everyone 24 hours?
So you miss the first few hours of Beats 1. Perhaps there will be a live blog, so that when you do get a chance to update, you won't be totally lost.

Actually, it's £6.34, according to XE.com. So £3.65

As usual we get hit by Apple tax .. $9.99 + 20% (VAT) = $11.99 -> £7.62 at todays rate (1$:£0.6351)
So £2.37 ($3.76) profit to Apple, even allowing fluctuations in the exchange rate, Apple is probably making $2.50 per person extra profit in the UK

I know. It'll probably be £9.99 a month. Oh well. It's not stopping me from signing up.

yup, I cancelled my Spotify, which was £9.99 a month, so no extra there really.

Meh, still annoying.

Stupid decision as most people will either be at work or on the way to work should've put 8.4 out on Monday as most people will be unable to update their devices

A) update when you're at work.
B) you said release it on Monday but then you'll still be at work so that makes no sense.
C) why will most people be unable to update their devices?

You're full of positivity aren't you?

Some people want to be able to listen to the launch of Beats1. Usually, when an iOS update is released, everyone swarms to update and there's major issues, causing all sorts of delays, up to half a day, before getting the update. If they release on Monday, then there's the whole day for people to get updated.

So, you see, it's mad to release the iOS update an hour before Beats1 goes live.

There's being negative and there's being realistic, based on previous experiences....

Oh my - Wasn't Trent Reznor once an icon of the underground and alternative culture? What happened to him to feel the need to be the commercial poster boy of a multi-billion dollar company?

What happens if I live in the U.S. and my parents live in Canada? Can we share an family plan? What if I sign up for trial and want to join the family later?
I think your parents and you should stay in one country in Apple's server. :)
I mean, your parents account and your account should all be in USA in order to share family plan for Apple music.

Yes! That's a really good point, I'll be so happy if Apple could actually do a proper currency conversion instead of sticking to £9.99 a month in my country like every other service which is a rip off as it's the same as $15.75 a month.
Apple previously changed iTunes store and app store price policy to address currency exchange issue. Before that, some Japanese game in-app purchase is cheaper in Japan than in other countries. After changing the policy, the price difference is negligible.

No, you need to have all accounts in the same country, be it all US or all Canadian.
