There is one reason why IPhone can't do hey Siri unplugged like moto x or nexus 5, the lack of a Dedicated Audio Processor, an M7 for audio

Ok not sure how long this has worked, may be new to 8 but if using my flash as flashlight if phone goes to sleep while using, instead of home push and pulling up CC and pressing flash off simply pulling camera icon up half way at LS shuts off the flashlight.

That's also working with iOS 7

I'm pretty sure this didn't work this way before, but when you go "Private" in safari, the tabs slide over so you can work with "private" tabs. When you go out of private mode, the tabs from before slide back into view. I'm pretty sure you used to only be able to work with one set.

I'm not on the iOS 8 beta but watching this thread for info!

Can someone please clarify how photos and videos are now stored? Are these now all stored in iCloud as opposed to actually on the device as in iOS 7?

As of now they are still stored locally. iCloud Photo Library is not implemented yet.

Photos in the deleted section are now deleted after 30 days (or rather this is now explained with some text above them in the deleted album itself).

The quick typing function works on my iPad 2 cellular and wifi

Anyone catch these new storage options for the music stored? I was having some trouble downloading beta 2 at the time so this screenshot is actually from beta one.

Basically... if you let it, all your photos and videos will be up in the cloud and then pushed to all your devices without any new UI except a switch in iCloud settings. They still are on your phone I believe.

Before it was called iCloud My photo stream and it stored only 1,000 photos, no video and had a folder in photos called "My photo stream".

The new one is much simpler and less confusing to someone that doesn't understand why their photos are in two places while some get deleted and others don't.

iOS 8, All The Little Things! [Features Discovered in iOS 8]

not sure if this is in beta 1, but beta 2, safari now tells you clearly in the address bar when reader view is available. appears for a few seconds then changes back to web address

..ok thanks for that however, is there a way to keep all the photos and videos just in the cloud and not physically on the device (so as to free up space on the phone)?

I think they said space will be automatically freed if needed some pictures and videos will automatically be deleted.

There are 11 official languages in South Africa. Just sayin'

Good for you! You know something about South Africa?! Bet u didn't know the majority of iPhone users are Afrikaans now did you? Seeing the most wealthy people are Afrikaans too. The same Afrikaners who bought the european way of living to Africa, just like Americans did to the US.

Yes for your iCloud calendars. Doesn't seem to pull that info on my Exchange accounts though.

Oh man, this is so good. Thanks. I wish this was included in iOS 7 since I had it on my Mac through Mavericks but not on my iPhone. Thanks again for the picture.
