After I say "Hey, Siri", my phone confirm with a sound that indicates it's listening. That's when I speak my request/inquiry. If you don't say anything after the phones sounds, she will say hello.

Yeah.. Mine isn't doing that. She says hello back to me, then stops listening. It's actually pretty funny. Maybe I'm easily amused.

Basically, when sending videos or the new Audio-message, they will auto-delete after 3 minutes after the 1st time you play them. This was explained as a way to save storage. Note: you have an option to keep the video/audio-message (as long as you do this before the 3 minutes after you play the message).
Cool didn't notice that before. Yeah, once you play the video you get a "keep". If you don't click on that the video is deleted after 3 min. Think that's cool but gonna freak some people out "I KNOW it was here!"

Is there a Forward Option in Notes?
Do the controls in Control Center still play from last audio source?
And does Weather in Notification Center still giving vague descriptions?
Or messages/alerts disappearing from Notification Center?
Photos app still a mess?
Selecting/modifying a URL in Safari still a pain in the ass?
.

1) Not sure what you mean..you can select the share sheet on a note to email/text the note to someone..

2) Yep

3) Depends..it's specific if there's something happening, such as T-storms, wind, rain, etc. Otherwise it will tell if you if it's partly cloudy, sunny, etc.

4) Never had an issue with messages or notifications disappearing from NC.

5) Photos app is great, especially with the iCloud photos option now.

6) I never need to do this, so can't really answer.

I'm losing it over the idea of Siri helping everyone else with their problems but just completely snubbing you

1) Forward as in Next.

2) Disappointing.

3) How is "Mostly cloudy currently. High will be xx. Showers tonight" specific? Tell me the damn temperature.

4) Mine constantly disappear, sometimes right after they arrive, others if they're over two hours old they get wiped out..

5) Disagree.

6) So when you modify a search or url you retype the entire thing?

1) Sorry, again, not quite sure what you mean. What is "Next?"

3) It does tell you the temperature when you are not near the high. If you are near the high, it does not..It's not too hard to just tap there and open weather if you really want more detail, although I agree, it'd be nice if it was always showing.

Also, you were not "specific" on what you meant by "specific." Saying that there are thunderstorms, rain, wind of 15MPH, etc, is specific. Just not what you were looking for.

4) Sounds like you have larger issues, as that is not common. Try a restore.

6) So I just did a search on my phone. Then, tapped the search/url bar, tapped again, and added some words to the search. I did not need to re-type anything. Same with URL. Seems simple. Is that what you are looking for?

1) You know, instead of previous note, next. The only reason I would like a "Next" option and not a previous is because you can swipe back. In iOS6 there was the ability to view the next or previous note while viewing a note. Why they would remove this, but leave the arrows in the Mail app is beyond me.

3) Sure, I could open it. But I shouldn't have to do that. And there's been occasions when it displays the previous vague listing for hours, even after opening/closing Weather. Add to that, when it's warmer than the High, but still doesn't show the temp.

4) Doesn't do anything. I've done it in the past.

6) Do this in Safari? I always end up tapping 4-5 times because it initially grabs the entire URL/Search, tap again brings up the Copy, Cut, etc bubble, and then if I'm lucky I can modify a URL search item.

1) Gotcha, in the notes app the only option you get is to go back. There's no option for previous, or next.

4) Hmm, unfortunate. I've never encountered and I haven't seen too many posts here regarding this. Maybe iOS 8 will help solve this issue for you.

6) Tapping once highlights the text/url, tapping again brings the cursor to the end of the search/url to add to it. Instead of tapping that second time, you can hold down on the word to move the cursor wherever you would like. So, at most, it should take two touches to edit the search text/url.

You no longer have to hit load more messages in messages. It auto loads. Also when making a call, the persons name scrolls from right to left.

Can anyone confirm if air drop works with Yosemite? I was unsuccessful earlier.

AirDrop oesn' work well for us all aparently.

BTW was there just a carrier update or something? I rebooted phone and got an "installing update" message followed by Apple logo and quick install of something.

It's probably just a virus, disregard. :D

Let me know if you find out. Which carrier do you have?

I never re type a search when I modify it. I just edit the search query. Not really a pain at all. As far as URLs, not really a problem either. I just edit what's there, if I need to. Not much different than on a desktop browser.

Hi!

Has anybody noticed if all day events are showing in notification centre's today view?

this has been bugging me about ios7 since forever!

Thanks

Not sure if it's been posted about, but absolutely love the "New from Your Artists" section in the iTunes app. Very convenient :)

Mail messages remain in the same order, so there is always a logical previous and next message. Notes get re-ordered when you edit them, to move to the top of the list. So, if I open a note, what is "next" is different once I edit that note. They probably removed those buttons due to the inconsistency.

Just Wondering...

Hello :) Have they added a Personal Hotspot Toggle into Control Center? Do you think this will ever happen?

Im not a fan boy of either platform...I currently have a Gold 5s, recently a Galaxy S5, windows 1520...you name it, I've had it. Both Android, Apple, Windows whatever. They all use each other ideas and put their own funky twist to it. Android have been had this "Ok Google" feature in their phones (Not computers) for awhile now and it works pretty damn nice if you ask me. Now all of a sudden Apple implements this "Hey Siri" feature within iOS8, which is good. But the downfall to this is that it has to be plugged up / charging to use the feature because it drains the battery. That's a epic fail if you ask me and hopefully Apple can fix the battery drain issue and have it work without being charged up.

I would say that Apple did still a lot from the Jailbreak Community...but that's just me... ;)

One reason apple implemented the hey Siri while charging is so you can use it while it's plugged into the car or at home, when it's not in your hands/pocket.

Also could you imagine if every iphone was always listening for hey Siri? If someone said it in a crowded place and numerous iPhones started listening.
