The main thing I'm noticing with Safari so far (just with some light usage) is that it's refusing to load some pages for really no reason (and they aren't really complex pages either).

-Sometimes 4 and 5 finger gestures stop working when in Safari. For example the 5 finger pinch zooms out the web page rather than closing Safari and 4 page swipe does nothing.

-Right after it is opened, you see the icons on the homescreen behind the white background of Safari for a short time

-The popup that gets displayed when typing into the adress bar cannot decide between having a white background and a transparent one. The tableview itself has white background but the popup around it has transparent.

-The entire UI changes colors between a few shades of gray and black when you play with the private mode.

Btw, I've just had a weird issue. My device was in the lock screen and suddenly half of the locks screen started to show the camera view. Then I closed the display and reopened it, this time I can't slide to open because the slider moves to random locations whenever I touch it :)

Question for you all who are posting bugs in this thread: did you do a fresh restore to iOS 8, restore and then restore a backup, or just use the iTunes update function? I'm only asking because I remember that updating or restoring from backup has caused problems with previous betas.

I can't get the "quick reply" feature to work. When I get a text I try pulling down to reply but... nothin

----------

so quick reply only works if i enable "show preview" for messages... which i don't want to do :(

The predictive text part of the keyboard has disappeared twice on me randomly. Not really seeing too many bugs right now, still playing with it though.

I have some birthdays in some of my contacts, in calendar there all showing a day early, example my partners birthday is the 4th, in her contact it's corect, but in calendar it shows 3rd

How would you know what to reply to if you can’t read the message?

Odd one:

Health app: When trying to set the blood-type, it would register one-off the type that was tapped.
E.g. when tapping AB positive, it registers B negative, which is one GUI entry above.
Classical GUI list index lookup mismatch.

App Store isn't working for me. It won't load any app. Siri isn't working either

SIM NOT VALID bug for off contract full price 5S seems to be present again... !$!#%!#%

App store is also buggy and slow for me. Search comes back after a reboot (or restart?) of the app.

Another one:
GMail setup can not make an SSL connection? (Maybe only for my 2-step verification setup?)

Edit: 4s, from clean.

On my 4S, after closing multitasking and going to my home screen, it sometimes freezes then resprings. It has happened multiple times

this thread is less helpful without the device you are testing listed. Would make this easier to assess. Clean or restore choice would also help. Just a suggestion.

Predictive text just isn't there anymore. Had to restore from new, this happened. When I restored from backup, everything worked fine.

iPhone 5S
Restored from new

If anyone knows a fix, that'd be great.

EDIT: Found out what was wrong. It appears if you slide down, it actually makes predictive text go away. You can slide up or slide down to make it come back. It's not a bug.

If i am to install iOS8, will all my photo stream, iCloud contacts etc stay intact? Even apps?

Thanks

gonna have to go back to 7 I think, these bugs just popped up out of nowhere.

For most basic functionality things seem to be ok as long as you don't restore from backup. I've found some of the bugs to go away after a hard reset or power cycle.

But being the first beta there's still a lot of bugs - submit your findings with the "Bug Reporter" app to help out if you can :).

I would not recommend putting this beta software on a device with information you'd like to keep.

The best way to help Apple test these early betas is to install a fresh copy of iOS 8 and start using the phone normally by downloading and using the basic functions on the phone and then maybe some apps - even though some apps may not function correctly just because they have to updated to work correctly or take advantage of the new features.

How do I go back to 7.1.1? I downloaded the IPSW file for it but when doing option-restore it says it's invalid...

App store: If I let it do its download thing finish before tapping on "Search" than it seems more stable.

4s, from clean (new Phone)
