iOS 8 beta 1 bug thread

Swiping issues
Well I've read all 7 pages so far and no mention of a swiping/touch events bug. This happens when you either use messages or email app.
Basically when the bug triggers your touch/swiping event is offset by 20-30 pixels, when you try tapping an app that you want you are actually tapping the next two apps beside it.
Texting is out of the question when this bug happens.
To fix it, simply restart your iPhone, but it does come back when you open either messages or email app.

ah, so I wasn't crazy. I had this happen on the app store. I went to purchases to redownload some older apps and I couldn't hit the damn cloud icon. After a few tries, I figured out that the hit box was over a few pixels.
Double tapping on the space bar doesn't add a period. Siri though does work it's wonky. Notification Centre still shows up even though it's disabled from the lock screen.

Yup, was just coming back to say that she just got her new voice. Took a long time!
Seems as though it's not yet available on the iPad. No one is really sure if that's intended or not yet.
How long did it take Apple to update the iOS7 beta after initial release? Any sort of knowledge on if they are quick or rather slow at these things?
Betas are typically released in 2 week intervals. Sometimes it's been one week apart, sometimes 3 weeks, but for the first month or two they usually come out every two weeks. I'd expect beta 2 on Monday, June 16th.

Do I need to do anything to enable quick reply? I try to pull down on a message banner and it just springs back to the top. It also crashes when I try and reply from the lock screen. I do not have a preview of the message enabled....

Yes same here. iPhone 5 here, can't see a way to workaround it so have just turned off location services all together.
My alarm also didn't go off this morning, just lucky my girlfriend has an alarm set at the same time on her phone.
my alarm was set for 5:15am and went off as expected and even the snooze worked

Yes preview has to be enabled to make this work, otherwise you would not know what you are replying to
Yep, mine won't play more than 1 song at a time, then stops... I mean, how the heck does Apple break one of their 3 core apps?
Yes make sure you have Message Preview turned on in Messages Settings. It may be under Notification settings for messages, I forget which.
Email notifications didn't seem to be appearing, phone vibrated but nothing in the notification centre or lock screen. Restarted the phone and now they are all there including some notifications for other apps
It doesn't seem like I'm having any Music problems. My songs are playing fine without stopping. Did you do a clean restore?

Settings likes to crash. Keyboard likes to freeze (but it's not frequent). Snapchat can't record video (well, it can .. but the audio is choppy .. so either an API changed or something in the background isn't letting the mic act proper).
Had one unlock where Launch-pad didn't start.
System slow to reply to a message from lock-screen.

Everything crashes randomly... But it's Beta 1.. I wasn't expecting a very stable build at this point anyway, but this is a bit off the hook lol..
I would not install this on your main device at all, as it stands right now. OS X 10.10 is quite stable though.
