You fully restored, and set up as new iPhone? If so, i'm even more confused.
When I got iPhone, i didn't restore before putting all my data in (stupid mistake). This causes the previous owner's apple ID to pop up every once in a while.

Honestly, I'm impressed with this beta.. a few hang ups here and there, but overall pretty damn stable.
Or if this person had other content installed from another user (that was registered to a different Apple ID)......
Sure sure, I've had every beta Apple has ever made available for iOS since the beginning.
This one is particularly wonky and perhaps the worst beta 1 ever.

Going to the app store, purchases, both all and "not on this iphone" both show in alphabetical order instead of time purchased. For example, 2048 is at the top with the rest of the numbered apps I've downloaded, all the way to Z. I don't personally like that, but I'm sure it's up to the user. I hope they give us the option by final release.

I'd be willing to bet that they were using an iOS 8 optimized version of the Sports Center app that won't be released until much closer to the public launch of iOS 8.
when trying to save a photo from an iMessage conversation, the app freezes.

You might have used it on your Mac or another iOS device before looking at your iPhone. This feature is called Handoff.
Still setting up my email and other accounts - had a bear of a time with the initial update. Tried as an update over my current OS so I wouldn't lose anything....got stuck on the last progress bar.
Then I had to DFU restore and I tried setting up with an iCloud backup. Got stuck on the last progress bar again - all night.
Finally this morning I wiped the whole thing (DFU restore) and set up as new. Everything is working very smoothly, though I haven't had a chance to actually play with it. Apps have downloaded and now I'm setting up accounts and tweaking settings to my liking.
I'll report back later with an update!

Interesting - so it works without other devices being on iOS 8 / Yosemite? I assumed the continuity features wouldn't be fully realized until all your devices were updated....

Just from my usage the battery is draining faster than normal but not altogether unworkable.
The charging via USB seems to be taking a lot longer too.
I'm using it on my daily driver (personal device) - so far, so good. I'll let you know later.
I have to agree with the others here. I really haven't had any issues so far. No crashes or freezing up yet. I did restore my 5S and set it up as new, however.
I have one. A really annoying one.
I keep getting a popup, the one which requires your Apple ID and password, it's always someone else's ID and not mine, I hit cancel and it immediately comes back.
Very annoying, tried a hard reset, nothing.
It's a shame because, apart from that, very stable. I just had it all set up as well

I've gotten that bug on two iPhone 5s' when setting them up on iOS 7. I get like 7 or 8 weird emails and 2 of my friends emails. Also brand new iPhones.
yeah true didnt think about that but whats weird is. im at work and no devices are around me running ios 8 yet i havent put it on my ipad

I'm setting up accounts now and will let you know. Exchange has been kinda buggy setting up the account but I'm also in a terrible coverage area.
All other email accounts added fine though.
iPad Air left overnight, sleep. It's up and running still with 100% battery.

has anyone trouble sending photos through iMessage? i tried to reset network settings, sign out of iMessage and back in still send photos

On my iPad 2 I've noticed that the 'Ask to Join Networks' toggle is overlapped by the 'Choose a Network...' text in portrait mode, so the former cannot be turned on or off - this glitch can be repeated even after a restart.
