I too would appreciate the next beta before too long. There are plenty of awesome things about iOS 8 beta 1, but a lot of bugs too (as everyone would expect). I'd downgrade but for the fact I can't restore iCloud backups from iOS 8.

I think too many people are holding on for it coming out tonight - I'm personally not so sure. As many have already said, Apple are really focusing on teaming OS X and iOS together and that leads me to believe new beta versions will go out together. I'm thinking it's looking more likely the end of this week - if not early next week to be honest. If it goes out tonight, awesome, but I'm not convinced.

I'll be happy once the stupid settings bug is fixed (crashes when you open Settings). I'd also like to see the continuity features working a little better - particularly phone calls. As yet I haven't been able to make or receive a phone call successfully on the Mac (it'll ring but audio never seems to be transmitted). That will be awesome when it is working. SMS messages work fine.

We'll wait and see what happens. If it comes out anytime it's likely to be 1pm EST (in my case 6pm BST) but, as I said, I wouldn't be surprised if we didn't see another beta until the end of the week.

I could be wrong but I think the second beta of OSX is out already. I thought I heard that... but, like I said, I could be wrong about that.

Don't think it is unfortunately. I'm running Yosemite dp1 at the moment and haven't become aware of any updates as yet.

Hoping for general stability/fixes, iTunes update for Mac (translucent toolbar plz?) and Yosemite Dark Mode! :D

From a newbie... Or am I making all this up?

Issues Fixed

AirDrop
- Improved AirDrop between OSX and iOS
- Fixed a problem where AirDrops would be declined unexpectedly

Baseband & Telephony
- Fixed a problem where "SOS Only" would be displayed instead of "No Service" in some limited-service scenarios
- Fixed a problem where Personal Hotspot would go missing after a carrier bundle update
- Fixed UE continue to ring after MO call is ended
- Fixed a problem where FaceTime calls over cellular were possible when not entitled
- Enable LTE switch available for all iPhone carriers (Encore and above)

ChatKit
- Fixed an issue where MMS was incorrectly sent instead of iMessage to phone registered for iMessage

Calendar
- Fixed an issue with missing Calendar information in Notification Center
- Added support for Egypt, Jordan, Libya, Oman, Palestine to overlay calendar

Clock
- Fixed incorrect analog/digital clock display

FaceTime
- Fixed issue in FaceTime call ending after killing the App
- Fixed issue for Cellular to WiFi Transition
- Fixed issue with Encore for WiFi preference during FaceTime call
- Fixed issue where FaceTime can became difficult to use in landscape mode
- Fixed issue where initiating a call in landscape shows a black bar on the right side of the screen while ringing

And much more

Shouldn't the Calendar section come before ChatKit in terms of ABC order??? Fake!

Yes it's fake if you say so since I"m a newbie and only had every iPhone since the first one. Compare those to the release notes of beta 2 and come back and tell me it's fake.

What does having an iPhone since it's inception have to do with anything in regards to the legitimacy of the list you copy and pasted?

So i know iOS Beta updates are through OTA updates... Yosemite updates are through the app store?
First time with an OS X beta... i was given a code for yosemite through my iOS dev account :)

Trust me Greg, I won't.

Oh and its spelt 'lying'. Just saying.

:)

I'm sure I typed that, but you see the way iOS autocorrect is, you know what I mean. ;) also honestly I don't know if what he's saying is true but it almost looks pretty real. We won't know till release.

Quick question, does anyone have Snapchat and does it crash a lot? Can you send videos?

I was originally believing your "release notes" but what is your source? It seems that you are your own source because you haven't told us anything else

Today has got to be the day, right?

Hopefully. They at least need to stay on a two week schedule.

Approximately 1 hour and 12 minutes before we know anything.

It's astonishing, how one person could wind us all up so easily. We're that excited about a second beta of an upcoming operating system.

Wow. The guy who listed the "fixes" for beta 2 is talking bull.

As if some people actually believe him. Bless.

I calls dibs downloading it first when it does get anounced, so all of you just stand back for an hour or so... :p

Well said. Of course I care about the beta, but this guy is just trolling us all.
Buddha said and I quote - "If someone that is trolling you, it's not the person's fault that is doing so, it's you who is getting trolled."

So I say report this guy and ignore him, and lets keep our fingers crossed that its released today.

It seems like with IOS7 we always had a confirmation from the carriers a little bit before a beta dropped... Except for that surprise Friday afternoon release.

No word.. My guess no beta today
