Wasn't beta 4 for iOS 7 the first major turnaround stability wise?? Can't quite remember.

Dude. Continuity will be great when will work. But except that o don't see any great features. ICloud Drive is nothing new/special. As health.. It just store datas from other apps.. Come on lets be honest.. The past ios had better innovations

Honestly, if you think iOS 8 has no innovations you really don't know iOS at all.

- For the first time ever Apple is letting developers add their own widgets to the notification center. This means not only can we have widgets that tell us ESPN scores and other information but a developer can add an interactive shortcut to the notification center that maps to their app. For example, how'd you like to bid on something on eBay directly from the notification center without opening the app?

- Apple is allowing apps to talk to each other now. You will see a lot more "open with" options and other functions added to the share sheet in most apps.

For example right now in iOS 7 if you open a photo in the native photo app and click the "share" option you are presented with:

- Message
- Mail
- iCloud
- Twitter
- Facebook
- Flikr

What if you want to use instagram? What if you want to share it via another app that is not listed? the answer is "too bad". But in iOS 8 devs can add their own apps to the list.

Furthermore, they can also add an option to the sharesheet such as "open with" and add photoshop express and other photo apps.

Bro, ok. I'm happy you see tons of new features

Anyone relying on 'bro' and 'dude' to make a persuasive argument can only be taken so seriously.

Extensions alone makes this the most substantial update in years--very excited about the new elements of iOS in 8.0.

I get a weird feeling that a lot of people using iOS 8 beta, are not developers.
Pretty much anyone on these forums asking about a problem.

If they were devs, they would be on the dev forums.

Totally agree that the vast majority here aren't devs but for what it's worth, I'm a dev but prefer the forums here to the dev forums. The dev forums aren't as social, funny or energetic -- and a lot of time the dev forums aren't any more educated.

Not really. MacRumors Forums are really active. More active then any other forum I participate on. I have used the developer forums and for "work arounds" it is simply faster to get it on this forum. Just my experience.

Follow @iOSReleases on Twitter. From my experience they have it first, as it seems to be an automated process.
