wow, seems like all installed apps have a system settings now.
apps that have asked for permissions to use location or images are now listed as it's their own setting.
the settings have list have approx. as many records as I have apps installed.

I think this is new, previously I only noticed settings for apps that have their own setting and the apps that asked for permissions was listed elsewhere.

isn't this new ? i'm pretty sure.

I've seen this in earlier betas.

That new Spotlight blur is beautiful, but it doesn't do it on the lock screen. Hopefully it will in the future.

And they introduced an annoying status bar bug in multitasking, where there's no status bar on the home screen preview until you actually go to the home screen.

What makes you think this is a bug and not intended?

Yea this seems intentional to me and makes a lot more sense. The status bar is visible in each of the apps in multi-task view and is dynamic (time updates). Overall it's cleaner especially with recent and favorite contacts enabled.

Glad those annoying tips in spotlight are gone again.

I think this is the reason it's gone. Every app is like its own desktop so if the app switcher let's you see them, then it shouldn't have its own status bar as well.

Something I wish comes back in iOS is the play icon, why was that removed? I found it rather useful to know if I'm playing music or not. It's possible to play on muted speakerphone without ever noticing ever since iOS 7.

What do you mean? Can you take a screenshot please ?

I had blue-tooth off and after the update, it remained off. How unusual. Every other update it was kicked back on.

WIFI seems to be better in beta 5. I have a time capsule and 2 airport express extending my wireless. Roaming is like butter now. On b4 I would have to disable/enable wireless when I switched access point as WIFI would die.
