iOS 8 Beta 5 Bug Fixes and Changes

Well, beta expires on October 6th, so there's plenty of time in September to have the event, even past the 10th.
 
Uploading a photo to Facebook either via the App or via Safari doesn't work, it didnt in beta 4 either but now it fails in a different way.

In beta 4 using the Facebook app you could choose the camera icon to take you to the photo selector but no pictures were there to select and the app would freeze.
In beta 5 using the app tapping the camera icon now brings up a distorted update status box and the app freezes.

In beta 4 using Safari you could select the photo but it wouldn't upload the status bar just froze.
In beta 5 you cannot select the photo it just sits on the photo selection screen.

My status bar looks about the same with U.S. Cellular. Long carrier names happen, but I'm wondering if Apple intends to make a status bar icon for Wi-Fi Calling.

In other words: Calm down. You'll live.
 
iMeesage indicator count not changing from direct reads

New text messages indicator count (iMessage) will not change unless you open the thread from the message list. Going directly to the message from the lock screen or selecting the notification does not change the message count on iPhone 5s.

can anyone verify the syncing problems apple mentioned in their release notes? encrypted backups failing & apps not syncing from the device seems like a fairly serious issue dont know why they would push this beta before fixing those..
 
I don't understand why everybody is so hyped about these betas. You'll have to restore at some point when the GM comes out and you lose the backup if you downgrade to ios 7, plus the performance is questionable sometimes.

People like to see what's coming and what's changing and what's being fixed.
 
Can someone check what spotlight looks like with increase contrast on? It causes pixelation for me.

it could still be a bug that X doesnt work when doing an upgrade, but works when its freshly installed only. ios is made to be installed as an upgrade over the previous cause expecting users to completely wipe their device for every upgrade just..wont work
