More or less the same. Battery life I think is good. I'm on 52% with 3 hours 47 minutes usage and 8 hours 40 minutes standby.

Similar here, and that too with a lot of 4G browsing and hotspot usage:

Still some awdd and jetsamEvent logs. And settings crashed after deleting (after making one) subtitles custom style in accessibility.

Getting quite a few awdd and a hell of a lot of JetsamEvent logs aswell. Hardly anything on google.

Something is certainly not right.

I've had
1 accountsd crash
2 bird crashes (No idea what they are, but its not Angry Birds, the log says it identitfied as com.apple.clouddocsdaemon. I think I fixed this by logging in and out of iCloud.)
9 ExcResources for 2 apps. How the hell can an app be using too many resources on a fast system...
2 gamed reports. Path says /usr/libexec/gamed, again, no idea.
25+ Jetsam Events
When I was hard resetting my phone, I had logs that said:
(Boot count: 0
Boot failure count: 1
Boot faults: btn_rst
Boot stage: 80
Boot app: 2681261667 (Again, nothing))
Constantly now getting seld reports. Path is /usr/libexec/seld.

So I've sacrificed stacks+backboardd reports for a load of others...

EDIT: Any help, and I mean, ANYTHING, is helpful. I don't mind restoring the phone, but setting up as new is silly. The phone is 5 days old. I should not have any problem.

After September 24 I have not seen the new backboardd logs on my iPhone 5 and iPad 3 with iOS 8.0.1 and 8.0.2 now

For those wondering what some of the logs mean:

stacks+backboardd should be fixed in iOS 8.0.2. stacks just makes sure that the app in the background isn't wasting all your battery and kills it if it uses CPU for ~10 seconds.

JetsamEvent is the new LowMemory logs.

ExcResourse means an app is mishaving badly in the background (i.e. not stopping what it's doing whn you press the home button).

awdd and log-aggregated should only occur once a day or when you restart your device and they contain information about how you use your device like how many times an app was opened.

Is anyone sending these automatically to Apple? It's one of the 2 ways I found which clears out the logs (the other being syncing with iTunes).

Thanks nightstalkerz for the explanation of stacks+backboardd. I don't have these automatically sent to Apple as I like to clear them out syncing to iTunes instead.

I don't consider a few jetsam or other log errors to be an issue. The stacks+backboardd was going crazy as I was getting at least 20 a day. I filed a bug report with the logs.

Thanks so much for this!! Great explanation!

Just a couple of questions.
1) If Jetsam is LowMemory or similar to it, why would I be getting it on a 6? Its got a 64 bit processor which means it can handle things better. I never had it on my 5c (Maybe I didn't look). Or could it just be the apps/developers are not optimizing the processor and memory properly?
2)So is ExcResource only fixed by the app(s) developer(s)?

And yes mine are being sent but they haven't moved despite syncing with iTunes a couple of times. Although they hardly take up any space anyway.

1 - the low memory have nothing to do with the processor. It's how much ram available the iPhone has. iOS 7 and 8 apps use more ram presumably because it has more advanced features. The iPhone 6 still has 1GB of ram. The processor is how fast it can do things.

2 - pretty much.

Logs older than 7/8 days are removed if you choose to send them to Apple.

Ah thanks for that! So how can I reduce the amount of memory it takes up? If Apple are making an OS that consumes (E.G, total guess, but with the way it keeps throwing logs, it seems like its a good guess) 90% of the memory, then how are apps meant to run with little space left?

stacks+backboardd not fixed in 8.0.2. I'm getting these on both iphone and ipad. I restored both devices yesterday. They are not occurring as frequently, but are still occurring.

What is seld_yyyy-mm-dd-hhmmss_iphone.ips? Getting tons of these and thinking that it is related to my unstable wifi connection.

Its a crash log that occurs every time you switch between wifi and cellular. Replicating it is easy.

1. Toggle wi-fi on and off.

Now go to your crash logs and make note of the time and see your new seld log. It doesn't make sense that switching between wifi and cellular is causing a crash.

What doesn't make sense is that it's toggling between wifi and cellular while the phone is locked!!!!!!!! And causing a crash no less.

All the iPhones I've had (4S, 5c and 6) all do that. I think its a battery saving thing. If the phone senses its not doing anything data heavy or even requires data, then it puts wifi on "sleep" so when you wake the phone up, wifi comes back.

Yes, I've seen that behavior before. But now it doesn't always reconnect upon wake up and when it switches there are log entries.

Yeah it's not right, but 8.1 isn't far away. They said October for Apple Pay so there should be something within the next 4 weeks.
