So why does my iPad Pro 9.7 settings icon still have a "1" showing on the badge?

The darn thing is up-to-date. Go away badge.

Same here.

9.3.2 available for my iP6 but it's been pulled for my iPad Pro 9.7.

Well done Apple.

Well done? It took several days, and numerous, numerous unnecessary brickings of iPads, for Apple to see there was a problem -- this even though Apple forums were filled with these kinds of discussions.

This kind of cluelessness reminds me a Google a few years ago when the European developers for android were missing paychecks. The story made the press, and they said there was no phone number for them to call. No one knew how to inform Google of what was happening. And even after it made the news, still Google was totally unaware. I think it took another week before someone at Google finally understood and passed the word onto someone who could address the issue. This incident was an indictment of Google's management.

And it just happened to Apple too. The update should have been pulled within a day of it making the press. Maybe it should have even been pulled before most of us read it.

Have multiple iOS devices in the house (iPhone 6 plus, iPad 3, iPad mini 2, 12.9 iPad Pro, 9.7 iPad Pro. iOS 9.3.2 is available for all of the devices except the 9.7 iPad Pro.

Just did my update on the 12.9 pro...update went through flawlessly and the device seems speedier.....

Every damn iOS update! Quality control has absolutely gone down the toilet over there! The part I don't get is how this managed to slip through 4 betas unnoticed.

Yes. People with an Ipad Pro 9.7, Do NOT UPDATE YOUR IPAD.

I just spent 3 damn days getting a new Ipad. I am in Florida and they did not have even ONE Ipad Pro replacement anywhere within 110 miles of Orlando! They had to ship one in.

Apple not only can't work out the bugs for there POINTLESS, SELF SERVING updates, they can't even stock their own damn products.

Raise your right hand and swear you'll never update your iPad Pro 9.7-inch tablet until at least one week has passed and you've fully vetted the update as being "safe". Otherwise, updating automatically is like texting while driving: you can get away with it for awhile but one day ... POW! Bricked!

I hope my 6s will be usable on monday
This website needs to update the story adding the firmware pull update.

I've seen no reports of phones getting bricked. Has anyone else?
yes! my 6s is bricked after 9.3.2, same "connect to iTunes" -> restore/update leads to error 4013, nothing helped.

This is interesting..

Did you update to 9.3.2, or restore to 9.3.2? I ask, because I restored to 9.3.2 and have had no problems whatsoever.

Ive updated 6s+ and 6s over wifi, like usual. Mine just couldnt load after update and dropped into "connect to iTunes" error cycle.

Wonder if that may be a symptom.

For every update, I manually pull down the IPSW, backup my iDevice, Option-click Restore in iTunes, select the IPSW, and restore to the newest release, then restore from my backup. That worked on my 6s and my iPad mini.

tried both 9.3.1 and 9.3.2 ipsw from different macs and win10 - nothing.

I don't care anymore actually about losing/restoring any data on my iPhone, i just want it work at least.

It might already be downloaded.
Go to settings > general > storage & iCloud usage > manage storage. Then look for the update in the list of apps and delete it. See if that gets rid of the badge & makes the iPad believe it's on the latest version 9.3.1.

No, I deleted the download the first time I saw it.

The "1" on the badge is still there a week later even after the update was pulled.

Have you tried to restart the device?
EverythingApplePro shows that restarting may clear that badge.

A bit off topic, but has it been confirmed to only affect the iPad Pro 9.7"? In other words, is it safe for me to update my iPhone 6 Plus?

I have read elsewhere that issues have been reported with other ipads, but not iPhones.

I updated my 6s to 9.3.2 without issue.

I am not saying that it is OK to update, just that it went OK for me. The choice /chance is yours.

FWIW. I am sooooooo glad that I didn't try to update my iPad Pro 9.7 when 9.3.2 was first released.

This particular issue seems to be limited to the iPad Pro 9.7", and not even all of them either.
