iOS 9 Beta 5 Tidbits: New Wallpapers, WiFi Calling for AT&T Users, and More

Wow. The last beta wasn't bad for me, but this one seems noticeably faster. I'm shocked and how I can fly around from app to app and websites pull up a lot faster. Pretty impressive.

I am so close to switching to T Mobile that this might be the last straw... I have checked out service with my iPad and T Mobile is everywhere I travel... I also travel over seas a lot and ATT's international data plans sucks.
 
I like the wallpapers but they took some out that I used regularly. Oh well.

Bigger update........the app switcher is much better. Hopefully continues to improve.
 
I just updated with the public beta 3 on my iPad 4th gen and it is stuck on the install screen. After the first reboot. The screen doesn't stay on either like normal. Anyway to fix this or anyone else having an issue?

Dear critic: The grammar is correct as written.

Your only possible argument is that some deem it improper for formal writing. But the audience and the site's purpose must be considered.

A site called Mac Rumors may employ informal writing at its discretion.

WiFi calling minutes come out of your voice minutes bucket -- won't matter to unlimited or metered data users...
 
Do people really care any more about Wallpapers? I have never used an apple wallpaper. This use to be a cool feature years ago but people just use photos of what they want not some generic wallpaper. I don't get the fascination every time Apple announces a new wallpaper. Seems resources could have been applied elsewhere.
 
Guys, I've just discovered a new feature by accident whilst in bed:

If you plug your headphones into your device while the device is locked, the screen will now automatically power on (displaying the clock screen with the Music icon).

This update seems pretty nice!
I kinda hope the let you turn off the news on siri suggestions though, or at least customize the stream. At the moment all I get is a series of aweful things our government are doing :(

I'm trying to figure out what you are referring to? What auto arranging? I'm totally curious now.

As for the double touch home button to slide the screen downwards, that works wonderfully for me. Awesome solution.

Don't fill up a page with apps and folders ... see how they collect at the top of the page and you empty space at the bottom? That's the issue, you can't have that empty space at the top of the page.

They are referring to the way icons sit at the top of each page. So they are way out of reach. Double tapping the home button brings them closer down for a moment so you can get them.

It's not exactly new. Does the same thing on PB2 (beta 4) but it's buggy.
 
White and bright icons on black wallpapers kill the eyes. Why it's so hard to design something in the middle? Apple is jumping from one extremity to the other.
Not to mention those color wallpapers are dubious choice for Apple. Looks like some random textures googled in a second...
