Area 51?That's exactly what it has meant for me for the last year on T-mobile. My work building is in a remote location and is bunker like, but it has wi-fi throughout!
Cellular Engineers love Wi-Fi calling for all of the reasons that you stated. Some carrier bean counters and CEO's not so much. They would not like to get you in the habit of switching to Wi-Fi so they can keep the meter running at $10 per gig for everything you do. Bet you can guess who they are. This is unlikely.
Cellular providers LOVE WiFi calling because it saves them air bandwidth. Think about it, all those people yacking away on their phones at home are NO LONGER using spectrum on the tower. It's like a network upgrade for them that doesn't cost much to implement.
WiFi Calling for AT&T - Beta 5 adds WiFi calling options for AT&T subscribers, but attempting to turn the option on results in a message saying WiFi calling is not yet available. The addition of the setting heralds the imminent release of the feature for AT&T users. Previously, WiFi calling was limited to T-Mobile and Sprint. There's also a new WiFi Assist feature that will "automatically use cellular data when Wi-Fi connectivity is poor."

I'm looking at the carrier cheerleading hand book. "Wi-Fi calling lets carriers get away with not improving coverage, penetration, or not eliminating dead spots." Therefore, it says that Wi-Fi calling is supposed to be responded to negatively. Denounced and disparaged, even dismissed, it says.Wi-Fi calling on AT&T? Sweet! That will go nicely with the U-verse fiber internet I just ordered from them (1,000 Mbps up and down). More importantly, I'll be interested to know what the specifics are regarding using Wi-Fi calling while abroad.

So, friendly reminder, ok?
Beautiful wallpapers ruined by stupid gray dock and folders. No way Jony Ive likes that. Please surprise me this fall Apple. I don't think those black wallpapers were put there by accident.
Do people really care any more about Wallpapers? I have never used an apple wallpaper. This use to be a cool feature years ago but people just use photos of what they want not some generic wallpaper. I don't get the fascination every time Apple announces a new wallpaper. Seems resources could have been applied elsewhere.
I had/have the same issue. Not only when charging but during use sometimes. Battery would drain 50% in half an hour, so I assumed a bug was causing the CPU to run at 100%. Force closing open apps seemed to stop it though.Somebody got overheating problems with iOS 9 Beta - i5S ? my phone is so hot cant hold it when its charging...

I have a feeling new iPhones may not ship with FCC labels anymore.
See: http://www.engadget.com/2014/11/27/e-label-act-is-good-to-go/
Also, those new wallpapers with a black background would look nice on an OLED panel (Force Touch = flexible OLED if it's anything like the Apple Watch).
How so?At least not for a few year. If it ships without labels, many iPhone users wouldn't be able to bring it to some countries when traveling abroad.
It's not on the iPhone 6 Plus either.iPad Air2; I have now "Shortcuts" and "Predictive" options when holding the keyboard key. on iPhone 5s there's only "Predictive".
Isn't this new?
It's on the 6 Plus as well. The back button on the keyboard is ?only for iPad. It doesnt show up on the iPhone.
THANK YOU! Wi-Fi is so often slower than cellular, especially if you're on the move and the iPhone keeps trying to connect to various public access points, resulting in no connectivity until you turn Wi-Fi off. I'm a happy camper.![]()
How so?
They actually check for those most of the time? For one, I believe in several countries you aren't allowed to go past airport securities if there are no physical labels on you phone/external battery.
It's an option that you can disable (or enable) as desired/needed.Heck, this might be why my Wi-Fi is acting so flaky. The phone keeps saying it will resume a download when it's on Wi-Fi, even when it shows to be on Wi-Fi.I much preferred the prior beta at this stage.

I know, right?!Shuffle all. Thank goodness.
