It doesn't seem like most of you guys are reading, just looking & hating. That photo is to just show size. If you look at ios photos below, this all makes sense, and that's why MacRumors is posting it. More of an iWristband. I wouldn't mind the size if we were able to Safari. We want big phones now, right?

How does cropping the iPhone/iPad UI and slapping it on a 2.5" display make sense? Seriously if that's what Apple has been working on these past few years than this product is a major fail.

Can we agree that any mockup needs to be either a 3D printed rendering or a decent quality photoshop?

What I demand in any iWatch is a device that looks like a watch. If it's just a revamped iPod Nano on a wristband, I think I'll have to pass. And I don't want a home button on the screen, even if it's virtual. That's ridiculous. You could put home/power buttons on the side that look like the watch setting knobs on traditional watches. If someone wants a touch-solution to get to the home screen, I could maybe see a triple-tap on the watch face to get home.

In terms of OS, I really hope it's a specialized OS that's fine-tuned to its function. I don't want a reduced scale iOS. I'd rather developers have access to APIs so they can allow certain functions to be accessible on the iWatch, but with major functions controlled on the phone/pad.

When it comes to form-factor, I think the MOTO 360 comes closest to nailing it, though their notifications just look ugly.

I think you're being too considerate of the traditional market. I don't think whatever device Apple is working on will be a watch, hence I don't think it has to be circular. If I want a watch I'll spend the money to get a nice, traditional, premium watch.

I agree completely; thus I said the device will be more focused toward health/fitness tracking and be seamless, natural and ideally invisible. Think Misfit Shine, think Fitbit Flex. I agree it may not be a watch, although if it is, it wouldn't surprise me greatly.

Can't help giggling from the thought of...

a Jony Ive Apple video where he extols the virtues and simplicity of paper and clear packing tape.

alot of these articles are now terribly written, sans the terrible ****** images now.

but i digress, and think the watch band display will have the icons wrapped around and not contained to a 2x2/2x3 radius like depicted.

would make more sense that way

what's DUCK tape?

The original name for duct tape, a strong cloth or cloth-like tape apparently used for fixing absolutely everything. The term "duck tape" probably comes from the fact that it is waterproof ("like water off a ducks back").

Exactly.

This is why this kid doesn't work for Apple...lol...whatever Apple is coming out with is not going to look like this in size nor interface.

No one wants to wear a damn bracer that large and be compared to Wonder Woman

Lmao! I have gotten a good laugh from this thread! I just can't with that mockup!!!!

Actually, no. Duct tape was created for wrapping and sealing air ducts. No ducks were harmed in the creation of this product.

Ha! It turns out we are both right.
