The touch screen was out of control. I have another post on this site with a link to a video of it. But I at least had this one as a backup plan...and that is yet another long story.

My 64GB AT&T 3G iPad 2 (black) was prepared for shipment around 7:30pm EDT. I ordered it at 2:52PDT on the 11th. So happy that it is likely to leave China in the next couple of days. Maybe it will ship while I sleep!

My 32 AT&T is prepared to ship as well! Just having that status change makes it a little more concrete! Now if it would just say Shipped...I'll be happy!
By the way...just curious......is anyone here getting free smart covers or receiving refunds for their already ordered smart covers? The other thread seems to be chalk full of people saying Apple CS is giving these out but its not 100%. My request was a bust btw but its curious how some are getting the free covers and others are not.

I supposedly got a refund for my leather cover but I haven't seen it show in my bank account yet. Then a CSR messed up my order by canceling it and placing a new order, which bumped my ship date to April 20. A supervisor was able to reverse the cancellation and comped me a power supply for the trouble.
Here comes the WHITE 32GB 3G AT&T "Prepared for Shipment". I haven't seen many white 3G models shipped so far.

It all depends on who you get on the phone. I am not going to bother trying unless my iPad doesn't ship tomorrow..which it will.
I don't get why people are getting free stuff when the order clearly stated 3 to 5 days but whatever. I mean I know how frustrating it has been waiting and I have been venting about it too but it is just funny hearing people whine to apple about how so and so ordered after me why was his shipped first? I totally understand but it is still so amusing when no promises can be broken until March 25 (last day of promised delivery)
Great news 900YO. I know you were particularly frustrated. Now we can all enter the next stages of frustration from "when will it move to shipping" to where ever country and states it gets stuck in along the way. I will just be happy if my ipad arrives free of defects and within the timeframe promised (with an emphasis on the former).
Thanks! I dont know why I let it bother me so much. Probably because I'm leaving town on Sunday until Thursday. Also, I ordered at 3:47 EST and turned down the chance to get one at BB on launch day because I believed in fast free shipping I was promised.

Well we can count. If my cover was shipped March 13 and is due to arrive on March 22, that's 9 days from the shipping notice. If my iPad ships even tomorrow and takes 9 days, it will deliver outside the promised delivery window. So without some understanding about how the iPad shipping from the same location as the cover will arrive faster, we start to consider the promise empty and broken. Does that make sense?

It's odd that Apple order status page says all the orders were "PDT" when they were really "PST" (and correctly indicated "PST" before DST began).

no it is not engraved, sorry I don't want to give order ID. Mine wasn't even shipped via fedex. Mail man just dropped it off this afternoon.
