12 hours is too long... I waited for iPhone 4, but it was 4hrs till store opened. Good luck to you both!Depending on lines, Best has said they may use a voucher system, at least that way I could go home for a while. If there are less than 20-30 people in line, i guess it is a full day here!
In line in Ottawa, Rideau Centre Apple store. About 15 or 20th in line. Going to be a long day lol

Maybe you guys should start to mention you time zone / local time, that would give everything more relativity
Well, there are around 100 people lined up outside Apple at the Eaton Center. They were lined up last night, and at 1:30am they had to go outside of the mall, and then they were let back in at 5am.

Never mind, I just got their email...5PM too.
Well got up, ordered just before 4am and then went back to bed. Have a PDF of the order with the order number, but still no confirmation email. How long do those things usually take?
I got an email about 10 min after ordering. Go to your account on the top right corner of the apple store and chech your order status.
Its listed, status is not yet shipped. Oh well, off to work. If I don't get an email by late afternoon, I will call and figure out what is going on.
About 70 people in line at Square One. I am near the back. Unfortunately, there is some slimey douche walking up and down the line handing out his phone number and trying to get everyone to buy a second iPad and sell it to him for resale.

Hi guys... this is my first post on this.. I ordered the Ipad 2 online @ the apple store and it said it will leave april 15th and arrives april 22nd. Im going to be leaving the country April 14th.. do any of yous have any idea if theres a chance of my ipad getting to me before i leave?

Did exactly the same. Happy to wait for it..... unless the local store gets some stock in and then may cancel online!!!!!
The news reports on the Apple sites seem to indicate that the shipping times are very conservative and the chances are that the items will arrive before then. Fingers crossed for you....
I totally agree. I woke up at 4am to order an Ipad and after a few minutes of refreshing, the option to purchase came on a few minutes after 4am. I read that it was 2-3 weeks before delivery so I closed the laptop and went back to bed. That is insulting for a launch. At least have some units in stock ready to ship when you hype up a launch date! Thank God i had to pee anyway or I would have really been upset...
If i can nab one today at future shop great, if not i'll order one online. I think it's 3-4 weeks now...whats the difference. Just don't con me into a launch date and time and then not have the product available. I'm actually surprised that more people weren't put off by this. Shame on you Apple.
