LP had alot of ipads in today mostly 3g, still had verizon when i left. i ended up getting a AT&T WHT 16g which i wanted...
Gurnee Target has been showing the 64G Black wifi since 10:30AM yesterday, but I haven't been able to get them to cough 'em up. Hope someone else has better luck than me. I'm hoping for better availability in a week or two, but keeping my eye on my tracker emails in case something comes up at Mundelein or Vernon Hills (they had 32G White and Black yesterday, but I'm kind of set on the 64G model - any color).

I got to the Woodfield store at 7:30 this morning. I was about the 20th in line. We were brought into the store at 8:00 and at 8:30 they passed out tickets and started selling the iPads. They had most of the styles there and everyone most people got the model they wanted. When I left they seemed to still have some tickets left.

I gave up last week and bought mine online. After about 24 hours in different lines it's worth waiting what was 4-5 wks and is now 3-4. ship by april 20th and doubt I'd find one in stores before then since I'm going for AT&T 64gb Black. Stuck with half my purchase funds in Apple Gift cards or I'd prob have one from best buy now. Oh well, glad i'm not waiting in line anymore.

i dont know how high the demand will be, there are a lot of business school graduates with money to spare on campus so they might grab them all up early

Northbrook Court Apple Store probably had at least 40 this morning; a lot of wifi only.

So I checked the inventory tracker for Best Buy this afternoon, saw that they had the one I wanted in stock, went over, and was told that they didn't have any. I told them that I'd seen it on their inventory tracker, so they went back and looked around. Sure enough they'd just come in! Literally they were just off the truck.Then they told me that they had 150 pre-orders, so I was out of luck regardless. I told them that I'd given them my name and number on launch day. My name wasn't on the list, the woman told me. However, lucky me, the guy who I'd given my info to was there. He found the sheet of paper that had my name and number on it, and yea! I have a 64G wifi in black!

Went back on my way home from work today - they had four black 64g wifi in the display case. While waiting for the electronics clerk to come back from helping someone else the store manager walked up and asked if he could help me. Told him I wanted an Ipad 2 and wanted to know what models they had, he proceeded to tell me they didn't have any. I just grinned at him and told him I was looking at four in the display case, he was stunned, apparently he'd been telling people all day (phone calls mostly) that they didn't have any. There were three still in the case at Gurnee when I walked out the door with mine at about 4:45PM this afternoon (and still showing available on the tracker). Hope someone from here gets one of them.

BB at Harlem & Irving had some today. They had one ATT 3G 16 GB left after I bought mine. I actually prefer the wifi only one but picked up the 3G anyways. If someone has a wifi only model and want 3g, pm me.

BB at Orland Park had two 64GB black wifi (the model I was looking at), though I was in Oak Lawn and figured I wouldn't make it in time. 🙁
I heard that Old Orchard was getting the largest shipment of 64GB 3G AT&T and Verizon iPads this weekend. No idea of this is true but definitely going back out there in a few hours. Now I need some sleep.

I called the Apple store in Orland Park last night, and was told that any shipments received over the weekend and Monday will be held for sale on Tuesday.
Drove by Michigan Ave this morning and saw no line so assumed this was true for all stores. Can anyone confirm?

Got my White iPad 2 64 GB WiFi from Target Vernon Hills a couple of minutes ago. There are some 64 GB iPad 2 still available in WiFi, Verizon and ATT&T trim.

I just got the second to last 64G White Wifi at Vernon Hills for my wife about 30 minutes ago. I believe there were 2 64G VzW and 2 32G ATT models - I think the VzW's were black and the ATT were white.

Trying to find iPad 2 64 GB in Black in the burbs around o'hare...best buy and frys aren't answering the phones. Driving me nuts!
I have a new - still in plastic wrap - 32GB 3G (AT&T) black iPad 2. If anyone can meet this afternoon at or near Northbrook Court it is yours for $850...which is basically what I paid plus the $50 I spent getting the ticket. LMK if there are any takers.
