iPad 2 First Impressions and Unboxing Photos

I've been using my iPad 2 for two weeks now, and i gotta say, i really LOVE this device.. Surfing on web is very intuitive, playing games is mind blowing and read is awsome. The Smart Cover i think is a great addiction to it.

LOL, nice play on words. I've had an iPad addiction since they first appeared a year ago. I "graduated" to the iPad 2 and can see myself upgraded to future "installments" 😉

I like the cameras on the iPad 2, as well. I especially like it for FaceTime. Wish I had it on my iPhone (have a 3GS) but don't want to lose my unlimited data plan by upgrading to the iPhone4. To just buy an iPhone4, outright, is very expensive 

You don't lose your unlimited plan if you buy a new phone. You loose your plan if you change your existing plan. Like if you wanted personal hotspot, that's a whole new plan.
 
New phone, keep same plan

So, you are saying I can buy a new iPhone at the subsidized cost, from AT&T, and keep my current data plan with unlimited data? But I would need to sign another 2 year agreement 😡

Last year i bought my iMac 27" so i couldn't spend more money, but now i'm just loving it.

Don't worry about it. Just go ahead and buy an iPad 2. I'm sure you'll get one without any light bleed. If in the very unlikely event that you get an iPad 2 with a backlight bleeding screen, you can always have it exchanged.

Ya you keep your existing plan and sign for another 2 years. I think you can get a 3GS now with a pre-paid option if you don't want to sign another 2 year contract but not the iPhone 4.
 
My 1st iPad 1 I dropped and the screen smashed, so I was like ok I'm not gonna get another one now! So when number 2 dropped I was like I gotta get one but in white this time, I couldn't get one for over a month cause they were just sold out everywhere. So I ended up walking in a store and they had one left in black so I was like what the heck I'll just get it. I am so happy I got it to it's soooooo much better than the 1st and me and my wife have hours of fun on it playing the puzzle games together, iPad 2 rocks!!

Really bad news for you. Your iPad2 will also break if you continue to throw it onto ground. It's no stronger than the first two you broke. By the way, what did you do with originals, have you a scrapyard or something for them?

I have only broken one not two lol. Also I recycled them, and trust me I'm not gonna be dropping this one I am so careful with it.
 
This thing if freaking amazing. It doesn't feel like a "big iPod touch" like lots of people label it - it feels actually like a computer.

I didn't know everything is revamped on it in comparison to the iPhone. Safari is amazing, most websites do not need to be run mobile and look great as is. The music app also feels like you are running iTunes.

It is a little heavy at first but you get used to it.

News apps like the Daily for instance are so sweet. Also ones like eBay that are optimized for this thing they really shine. Easy to navigate, huge images, HD looking.

It is also lightning fast not sure how the 1st gen stacks up to iPad 2 but this baby is quick with no hiccups.

Keyboard is nice and big feels like an actual keyboard, I can nearly type without looking already.

I can not put this thing down only negative I'd say. 😛
 
My wife has had her white 16GB iPad 2 since last week. I should be getting mine in the mail today. she surprised me by ordering me one after she realized how much I liked hers. So the black 16gb wifi iPad 2 should be here within the next 7 hours. I am psyched.

Update,

I actually received my black iPad 2 around 12:30 this afternoon. I came home from running some errands & I looked at my front door and fed ex had left a note with the drivers cell phone # so I called and he turned back around for me. The excitement of my day begins now, actually being able to use mine and not my wife's lol.

After a few months being a first time iPad owner I have to say that this is truly a wonderful device. As many undecided on what to buy, I got the 3g/64G and not regret it one bit, it's must have item for travel. Thanks for all the impressions and keep enjoying!
