I just called them because mine is still showing as backordered. I ordered a 32 GB wi-fi which the sales guy said would definitely be in today and ship today. They said not only is mine on back order they have never gotten or shipped any 32GB ipads. Yet some here are saying they show 32GB ipads being shipped to them. Then he says they will get some tomorrow. I'll wait one more day and cancel if it doesn't show up by tomorrow. They guy yesterday said for sure today they will ship today and I asked him twice. They also charged my card. Right now I'm thinking they are stringing me along. We'll see.

Yeah same position you're in, different SKU though. I figured they were being optimistic with the "later today" stuff. As long as it comes in this week, ill be fine.
well my 32 gb white shipped today and its GAURANTEED by UPS in 2 days from shipping, so it has to get here wednesday or my 2nd day air is refunded to me, which ill gladly take 🙂
I am in the exact same boat and if it were not for a) the fact that I have used these guys for my photos purchases and have never had an issue and b) I do not "need" the iPad anytime soon, I'd probably consider cancelling.
It is a bit disappointing that they were not more upfront, I am not sure I would have changed my order and I would feel less "played".
So I was one of the last few who ordered before they sold out (15:13 EST) and have been waiting all day yesterday and today for my order to change status which has been sitting unprocessed all day. Scowering this forum, I realize that other people have been let on also. I was enraged to find out that despite my extra payment for fast delivery, I may end up having this ipad backordered.... i was turning green with anger....

Thank God for this board. I got it shipped with 2 day air and expected delivery is Wednesday! If it wasn't for the OP I wouldn't have found one and if it wasn't for the other guy I still would have been waiting at "new order processing".

Mine does too. I think it's just an issue with UPS. I've found that they don't update their tracking info as much as FedEx. Check in the morning and it should be updated, as I am due to receive mine tomorrow.

Yes I'm holding out hope for tomorrow as well. Mine is set up for instore pick up since I live 20 minutes away from the store.

Mines in New Jersey, headed to TX Thursday, unbelievable find, great, but I really want an ATT one, those seem very rare.
Mine is out for delivery as well. However, I happen to be the last stop for UPS so I won't see it until between 4-5 today.
Well, after waiting in line for this mysterious "Tuesday 9am Restocking" at my local Apple Store and hearing they weren't getting any for awhile; I went out to my car in the parking lot and ordered from B&H. 16GB Black WiFi. He said they didn't have any in stock right now but they were expecting to get some later this week. I went ahead and ordered UPS Next Day Air for $28 (which is cheaper than the $34 I would have paid in sales tax). I might have to wait an extra week, but that's better than the 4-5 weeks that Apple is predicting.
