Ipad 2 in stock @ B&H photo/video

They're a jewish photography store in NY and were closed for sabbath at 1 friday, and closed saturday obviously, and because of that their stock was just sitting til sunday morning when we all discovered it.
Same thing happened to me. Just called in and verified and it was confirmed that my item is shipping today. I ordered 2 day shipping. I'm also shipping to an address different than my billing address - I wonder if that's what caused the need for "verification".
Either way, B&H should've sent us an e-mail asking us to call in. It's ridiculous that the only way we could've found out was through online chat.
I ordered a white 16gb 3G ATT model when I saw this thread pop up. Mine has said "In Stock, Sent to Warehouse" since I ordered. I'm keeping my fingers crossed but this was a great deal if it shows up soon, free shipping, no tax, it was only $628.95! I haven't seen anyone selling it at the price, well MacMall but I heard they were charging shipping and I'm not entirely sure I trust their estimated shipping times anyway...

I think someone else in the thread tried with a canadian shipping address and was unsuccessful. You can always just give it a try and i'm sure they will tell you if they can do it or not.
That's no problem because they ship every product BUT apple products to Canada. So they accept Canadian billing address no problem. However they don't ship Apple products.
To others who aren't familiar with B&H
They are VERY reputable. No need to worry to order from them. They have been around since the 70's. Check Wikipedia.

Ordered it today. I'm in no rush and they seem pretty confident that they will get stock soon. Don't forget, least common also usually means least ordered.
Either way it's been then waiting until the March 25th release date in Canada and standing in lines

How, may I ask, did you manage that?Just called from the UK, even paying UK tax etc would save me up £25 roughly, if UK prices are the same as ipad 1. ipad2 $599 = £371.44 + $168 = £104. shipping/tax/duties. Total £475.
Result.
They said shipping to USA only.
Thanks for this. Just called and they said I'm now verified and my order is shipping today. I have no idea why I didn't get any notice to do this, and was getting annoyed that my order was stuck at "new order processing" since yesterday morning.
Edit: Just checked my order status and it changed to "In stock, order sent to warehouse"

All right, mine shipped today @ 9 AM Pacific time!! I ordered yesterday at 12:30 PM pacific time. Mine is next day air shipping for $12. No tax is awesome!!!

Just have to chime in and agree with with the others who are saying B & H is very reputable. Really, do not worry (and I'm a worrier by nature). This iPad is probably the least expensive thing I've ordered from them. They are top notch and very well established, and probably one of the most recognized store names around when it comes to photography equipment.
I called in and "verified" and my order status changed to In Stock, Order Sent To Warehouse. Hope that means it's shipping out today!
The 16gb wifi black, which is the only model they said was still in stock when I ordered yesterday. I'm still going to be a little nervous though until I get some sort of actual shipping confirmation.
I was passing through manhattan on my way from NJ into Long Island, and called them to see if they had any in store. They guy on the phone said they hand none in stock, but gave me the option to "pre-order". I said no as I'm going out of town for a week and have no desire to have a $600 device sitting on my doorstep out in the open.

Anyone who is still worried about ordering from them - just stop. I've never had an issue with them and their prices + no sales tax outside of NYC is awesome.

The sales tax thing isn't true. I live in Upstate NY and still had to pay tax on my iPad from them.
Ordering the 16GB they showed in stock is one thing. Ordering something they didn't have in stock but said they would have today is another. My 32GB iPad isn't showing as shipping but my card has been charged. If it doesn't ship by tomorrow then the sales guy will have lied to me and I won't be very surprised. I've ordered many thousands of dollars worth of equipment from them over the years but they are far from perfect. Search on "B&H photo complaints" on Google before you tell everyone what they should think.
