when i was on the phone with their customer service department, i asked for faster shipping, and the guy, who was very nice, said that it would get to me in 2 days if i pay an extra 12$, and he did mention that it would be 2days when they process my order....maybe they were talking about shipping time?

Thats the time it takes for the ipad to get to you AFTER THEY SHIP. The question is when will they ship...you can read through this thread and know what you are into.

First I want to say how much we regret dacalo and iLuis's dissatisfaction.

A friend of mine who works for Best Buy showed me their order list of their ipads for various stores and it showed at least 20 of each type.

Just a reminder -- there are 18 different iPad 2 models when you factor in two colors, AT&T vs Verizon, with or without 3G, capacity, etc.

However, what do they actually get? Maybe a third of each order. Same deal with Target and Walmart. They may have 20-100 on order, but they are only getting 2-5 each day, if they even get one. Everyone including each Apple Store is being shorted...that's common knowledge by now.

Some people get in line every morning at the Apple Store at 7am and hope that the iPad2 they got came in the night before. Some people paid $100 to Best Buy to reserve their ipad2 when it comes in stock.

My memory may be faulty but I thought the NYTimes reported recently some Apple stores are trying to discourage folks who get on line early, buy an iPad and then try immediately to turn it around for a profit to others further back in the same line.

As far as I understand it, B&H is still fulfilling their orders based on when they were placed.

Ordered a 64GB white Verizon 3G from B&H about 10:30 a.m. on Friday, and got it today!

This despite the fact that they were closed from 2 p.m. Friday through 9 a.m. Monday. The unit shipped Monday and arrived this morning at my office. I saw the UPS guy walking into my building and intercepted in the mailroom.

I lucked out to find one in stock at that moment. B&H's iPad stock keeps fluctuating, so I suggest checking their site frequently if you haven't ordered one yet.

That's how I got the iPad I am typing on, monitoring when my white 64gb verizon was in stock, and pouncing to order, check frequently, people need to understand no one, not even Apple knows how much stock arrives at their OWN retail stores, let alone authorized resellers, so keep up the excellent work/customer service Henry & B&H......haters gon' hate......keep rollin'

Well i paid for my two ipads and i don't even got an tracking number what your expect? 1600 dlls maybe is not to much for you.

As B&H is not giving any estimates after charging my card just placed another order with J&R with 2nd day air. CR said 457 iPad 2 16GB WiFi are coming in next 2-3 weeks.

I'm at work Monday when I get the package from BH Photo. So I'd say that they are giving ppl longer estimates just in case it does take that long when in reality, they are very fast in processing orders.

Depending on where you live, you might even get your package a day early
