Customer service may be able to assist individual inquiries, but they also do not always know when or how many.

You say that employees do not know when the next ships comes. But why many users from here says "The seller tell me i'm going to get the ipad the next week"

It seems unfair that you comes here to tell us not to ask for something that belongs to us, you we took our money and I guess that money is not stopped. My own money is making more money. I can ask whatever i want and as many times i like, they told us in two days i would have my tracking number and I've seen it.

It is easy B&H just says we can cancel your order... but what happened to the interest i earned to? good play on the stock exchange with someone else money.

We are here on a forum and everyone gives their opinion on the company you work for B&H and they are doing wrong things like cheating on their buyers.

So I have to wait until 5 months because you never know when another shipment arrived to B&H facility that is irrelevant and out of science. Apple says what day the ships are coming so you can be prepared.

That is why every single company have an costumer service department.
That is why Best buy are not taking more gift card reservation, and another sellers only take out your money when they ships, another retail stores tells you where are you in the list. But that is not right to B&H but they can take you money right the way HILARIOUS.
 
I think its pretty amazing that B&H doesn't know, or is claiming not to know, when they are getting more. How do you not know what's coming into your own warehouse? I can buy not knowing the specific amount you're getting, or which types, but not knowing of incoming shipments? Seems extremely unlikely.

However, B&H has proven to be a respectable dealer in the past, greatly aiding myself and my colleagues in our work (film production), so I'll stick with them. Hopefully something comes in for me this week. WiFi White 64GB come on!

I for one am a happy camper, my white 64GB Verizon iPad arrived half an hour ago and I ordered friday around 10:30, you can't win 'em all.

Some people are impatient, don't let 'em dog you, after all.....

Part of that is because Apple is sending the iPads via FedEx/UPS rather than passing it through normal distribution channels.
 
I ordered my Wifi 16G Black last Tuesday, still, backordered.

What confuses me is sales representative told me I have to wait for 4 to 5 weeks.

He promised me I will definitely get my iPad 2 after 5 weeks.

So,I don't understand why everyone else in this forum can get an iPad 2 earlier than me, especillay those who ordered later.

I can understand that BH didn't know when will they have more iPad 2. In fact, no one knows. Bestbuy, Walmart, Verizon, ATT or even Apple store told me they don't know when will they get more iPad 2, what model they will get. They just sell whatever Apple sends to them.

I can understand it takes four to five weeks. But what I can't understand is BH people didn't want to tell me where am I in backordered line. They didn't tell how many iPad 2 they get today neither. (Yes, I am not asking how many iPad 2 they will get tomorrow, but instead, today.)




I am still waiting for my iPad 2. I do hope I can get it earilier. However, I am not sure I can get my iPad 2 before April. Even though many other people in this thread said BH Photos can get more.

I said this based on what clerks in Bestbuy told me, "Stock will be extremely limited in following weeks due to the global lauch this week and Japan earthquake (The glasses and flash storage comes from Japan and Japan is short of energy. Most of factories are required to closed to save energy)"



Just hope I can get my iPad 2 soon. But I do want to point out:

1. BH has responsibilites to tell us their stock status everyday and where we are in backordered line.

2. It may not be a good idea to charge us before shipping. But if I can get my iPad 2 within 2 weeks, worth it.
 
Sorry to sound like a brat or something, but if I don't get word on my order status by the end of this week I'll be cancelling my B&H order.

Everyone with a black 64GB ATT model on order should protest by canceling their orders NOW.

That way I get the next one that comes in :)

I casually was checking B&H after someone posted in this thread they had the Verizon white 64GB in stock late Thursday night, and Friday morning they got a shipment and I was able to snag one, luckily I didn't have to search for too long. 2-day shipping for 8 dollars for the win :D

P.S. Please don't mind the heavy presence of Katy Perry and Japanese music, my play counts got all f*cked up :p

Thanks for the update Henry. I think the confusion is that above you offered to give a status update to a customer if they emailed you. Obviously that would give the impression that younare in fact a customer service rep for the company. I know it's frustrating but you kind of left yourself open for those emails.

Many of us are seeking information. As director of communication, maybe you can assist in making some generic order information available to your personell or customers here. J & R seem to have that ability. Although honestly, they could very well be liars.
 
Received my White Verizon 16GB iPad 2 from B&H today. Ordered on Friday when that model briefly appeared in stock for about an hour or two.

I've got obscure Japanese trance, to Mexican music, to cheesy American pop.

Don't see an issue there. ALMOST daily...he just doesn't know which days. Suggesting he is being dishonest is completely unfair and unreasonable.
 
Almost daily and I still don't have my unit. Damn I must be far down in the queue. Haven't heard of many people buying the 64GB White Wi-Fi only... maybe Apple isn't shipping many. IDK.

Anyone who ordered an AT&T should know it's gonna be a long wait. That's what I'm waiting on. Doesn't matter who you buy from, it's gonna be a while.

Folks, B&H is as reputable a place as exists. It's frustrating, because you want your ipad now, and they charged you already, but you knew that going in. Hold your horses, and you'll get it as soon as possible. Keep looking elsewhere, and if you find one, cancel this order, but in the mean time, know that B&H isn't gonna rip you off, and they're not lying to you.

I say that not as someone who has any financial ties to B&H but rather as someone who's been buying camera and sound gear from them for a LONG time.

What's so confusing about this? Shipments come in, unannounced and with no prior information as to what models or quantities are in the shipment. Is it really that difficult to understand how to two statements match?

Standard procedure for B&H. Has been for years. hey charge at order and are very up front about doing so. Every time I've seen a new Canon or Nikon camera release, people whine like about having been charged but their item hasn't shipped -- and then those people often get their item earlier than others since B&H has typically been among the fastest ways to get high demand models.

B&H is as reputable as they come. I have no connection other than having been a customer for many years. I've never been less than 100% satisfied with any interaction.
