I added Next Day Air to my order because I saved $34 of sales tax and Next Day Air was only $27. Hooray for smart financial decisions!

Yeah! Only a week's wait! That is much better than the 4-5 predicted weeks that Apple was giving. Thanks B&H!

are you guys checking your status on their site? mine doesnt even work. when i asked them why i wasnt able to check it online, they said it was because i ordered over the phone.

You must enter phone number and order number to check status.

mine works when i do the texting thing but not when i check online. ordered a white 16gb wifi only at 8:09am pst on 3/13 and its still backordered.

me too for 16gb black wifi. 64gb att still backordered. better then nothing.

Pretty unhappy that B&H used this bait and switch tactic, and I've been a customer for years, with complete satisfaction until now. If they hadn't required payment up front, it really wouldn't have been an issue.

CANCELLED, needless to say. Sure will be nice to get my money back.

No e-mail yet only saw when I checked my order online after seeing all the other black 16s in stock.

FWIW, when I called and ordered on 3/15 the guy said 2 weeks MAX until ipads shipped out. I was a little incredulous so I made him repeat that. Don't know if that stands for other models but I asked him that question before I put in my order so he didn't know which model I wanted.

Which model did you order? If it was an AT&T 3G model, I'm sure they didn't realize the situation at the time. I'm in the same boat. If it wasn't the AT&T model, then I'd be surprised if it took as long as that, since all other models seems to be getting out faster.
 
Also got my status updated today to order sent to warehouse. Looks like I was pretty late to phone my order in (3/17). Ordered the black, 16 gb wifi model. I'm guessing that they got plenty of those models in to fulfill orders.

Next stop...iPad case?
 
why do they send it to the warehouse? why dont they just send it directly to us? :confused:

most likely a generic status that B&H's web system uses? just imagine someone like you working at B&H and presses a button to update the status of the item from a drop down menu...probably like 3-4 options....

I ordered the White Verizon 64gb Wifi+3g on Friday.

They SEND the order to their warehouse in Brooklyn. Then that warehouse packs it up and ships it the same day in most cases if its physically in stock.

Yeah man the AT&T and the 64GB WiFi only models are in limbo it seems. Very annoying, but its good to see they are getting some and shipping them out quickly.
