that would be awesome! I plan on getting there around 11am I think, but it depends on how many people will already be there, so a picture would be awesome..!

What was it like for the iPhone 4 launch? I went to my local o2 store for the iphone 4 they opened at 6am!!! I got there at 5:20 and was 3rd in the queue:D

that would be really good, would be nice if people could provide info on that store and the queue if they get there early so we can have an idea of how long the line is

Absolutely - if people can start posting images of how long the queues are at RS/CG - then that would be amazing. I would only be able to get there for about 2/3 ish.

Hopefully will be getting there about the same time! Will be keeping an eye out on here if people are uploading pictures then :)
 
There is a guy queueing up at RS already according to Twitter (search Apple Regent Street..)

This is still my plan:
- Order online at 1am - get up later and work from home.
- 12pm go into shops just by my flat and ask if they've had any in (Vodafone, Orange, Carphone Warehouse, Argos).
- If yes - hold out and secure it!
- If no (or if not right model) head to covent garden for 2pm!

Do you think I'll stand a chance?!

Bloody ridiculous is the only way I can describe it. Fortunately I was queueing in the O2 store queue downstairs which wasn't quite so bad.

I'm not sure. My initial plan was 4pm, but it seems demand is higher than I was expecting so may head down around 2pm ish and hope that is early enough to snag a couple of 32gb 3G models for me and my wife (unfortunately she will have the kids so can't queue with me, am hoping apple allow 2 iPads per person)

I was working near westfield yday, popped in and an apple assistant said the queues for the iphone 4 and ipad 1 launch were pretty much going round the entire 1st floor of westfield so said to get there EARLY :(

Well, I walked into the Westfield store at around 3pm on the original iPad launch day, asked for a 32GB WiFi model, was given it, paid for it & walked out. All in well under 10 minutes. There was no queue and they had plenty of all models still left at that point.

Having said that, I do think that this launch is not going to be anything like that because of the 5pm thing.
 
Hey Everyone,

I'm going with a friend to Regent Street to start queuing in a few hours. He wants to be one of the first people to get one. I unfortunately can't afford one :(

If I stay out with him tonight would there be anyone interested in buying my place in the queue from me? x
 
After working till 7pm yesterday my boss is ok if I leave work early tomorrow, I may just push it and take half day :D

I will probably go to Lakeside......have a selection of stores to try my luck at :)

Think I'm going to go for Westfield, if the iPhone 4 launch is anything to go by it's still going to be packed.
 
I'll be happy to keep this thread updated with info on the launch line and maybe some photos, depending on where I go.
