Well, I was hoping to avoid the queues at CG and RS, but no luck. I just visited the Westfield store and staff there confirmed that supplies are going to be really limited, with most of the stock going to the bigger stores. They said that if I really wanted to get the model of my choice, that's where I should head, and early. And so, I'll see the rest of you there.

Drat.

A guy from the Apple store just came out to say that they will be allowing two iPads per customer (Regent Street), but that again, stock is really limited!

Queue stands at just over 20 now.

He said they have limited stock? :(

All places will have limited stock tbh. Just get to the stores as soon as you can

lol true! limited to me is like less than 100 :D

I think this is what's worrying people!

Another dude came by a minute ago and made the comment that they're stocking around 10 of each model... 16GB, 32GB, 64GB all in WiFi or WiFi + in Black or White... which equal 12 types.

So only 120!?

And literally everyone is planning to buy 2!

The queue is around 40 people deep at the minute.

You honestly think the flagship Apple store in the UK is going to stock 10 of each model?

iPad 2!!!

Some guy who just came back from New York walked down the length of the queue to show off his new iPad 2. He said he queued on the first day for 11 hours and didn't get one, then came back on the FIFTH day after he saw a sign saying they were getting more stock in, and queued for EIGHT hours before he got one. This is crazy!

The iPad 2 is DISGUSTINGLY light. Smart Cover as well. Too cool. Supremely Beautiful.

I'm thinking of going down to regent street quite early tomorrow and only plan to pick up one would anyone be interested in paying me to pick up another one for them to avoid wasting a day in line

The line is now well wrapped round the back of Hanover Street.

Free stuff for the first 20! Yay!

Applecare?....

Hit me up on 07980595977 anyone looking to get in. i've been here so long that I'm contemplating just buying the iPad, so maybe you can buy my place, or just pay me to get you an iPad as we're allowed to buy 2.

Stop being silly

...about how little they might have got in stock. The flagship store in NYC sold 7200 iPad 2s IN ONE DAY. There are as many people living in London as in NYC.

I'm at Westfield now and there is already about 30 in front of me!
It's gonna be a loooong day

yowzers.

let us know how it is around 5pm, and whether they've handed out tickets and told people to go away.

170 = 340 ipads already sold!!

I wouldn't say everyone in the key is going to get 2?? Or are alot of people planning to ebay their second?

As for Westfield do you have any ideas which models people in the queue want? If demand for the 64Gb 3G is low then 30 people in the queue ain't so bad if only 4 of those want the same as me.
I'm hoping to get there for 3pm but if it looks hopeless at that point I'm going to try other options.
