I love it when Google/Samsung/Sony/Motorola employees create new MacRumors accounts (join date Mar 2011) just to try to propagate garbage like this. Obviously trying to start a new antennagate. If you can't beat them in sales, try to start some bogus stories in the blogs and hope the media picks up on it.

THIS JUST IN: My iPad 2 is absolutely fine and its in my hands right now. Anybody else who really has one complaining?

So ridiculous dude. Just embarassing. Do you really think anyone has the time or desire?

Ha ha ha! Way to prove you arent a Samsung rep..."3 iPad's down", give me a break, nobody could go through 3 iPad 2's with how tight supply has been. Take a hike.

they have replacement and waranty supply at every store that aren't for sale or inventory, only for replacements. If you check a dozen other threads you'll see many people (not just noobs) with this issue who have gotten a couple replacements. I'm too lazy to link you but go look.

I must say I was a bit disgruntled when I saw that international orders would ship in 2 to 3 weeks, especially since I got a 4 to 5 week estimate.

Anyway, I just checked my status and it hasn’t budged from April 25th.

Radiation?

If some of the components come from Japan, is Apple scanning the finished units for radiation? I'm not saying but I'm just saying...

ignorant much? iPad #1 arrives with bleed, make genius bar appt and they put one aside for me (from stock reserved for these issues) - go in and identify identical issue in store with iPad #2. I hold on to iPad #1 and they order a replacement (iPad #3) - I receive call from Genius bar that it's arrived and they have checked it over for me (thank you, saving the drive) and identify identical issue on iPad #3 - count em 1,2,3 - waiting of 4

Keep your place in line

I just spoke with Apple Support because I was worried that an order place today (with the 3-4 week lead-time) would ship before my order which I placed last week when the lead-time was 4 - 5 weeks.

I was told that I shouldn't cancel my order placed last week because it will ship before orders placed after it.

Yay!! I look forward to getting my iPad sooner.:apple::D

Geeze dude...people are right about you constant criticism. Grab some Ben & Jerry's, and put a smile on that face:)

Yes, "As expected"

Addiction to Apple and MR runneth deep!

Wondering if he is that positive in all aspects of his life or ever happy.

Maybe time for a suicide watch?

Sorry but that's not the case, created an account just recently to provide my input on this issue on another thread. I am 3 iPads down with problems and still hoping the 4th will arrive with no leakage or dead pixels. I'm glad yours is "absolute fine" but if you do a search or just ask around you will find this is a widespread problem

You're one unlucky person. I really feel bad for you. I'm not an iPad owner, but my brother and a friend got theirs with no issues. I hope your 4th one is nothing short of being perfect.

Check out www.theregister.com for some articles that provide a bit of sanity to that issue. If you are afraid of radiation then you should insist that your iPad is transported by ship and not by aeroplane, because it gets much more exposure to radiation while in the air.

I can attest that I've been through three iPad2's before getting one that didn't have a light leak. And I'm not talking about a small nit or a slight systemic imperfection with uniform light leakage all around - the light leaks were all significant and notable, about the size of a quarter. And were so bad that they weren't even contested by the store staff.

So my fourth iPad2 is perfect. A linemate's iPad that he opened in the store was perfect; the family next to me however did have a small light leak.

Generally speaking, every light leak I saw was ugly and notable. This wasn't that slight "bleed" that you can just accept as part of an LCD. These were all ugly, large yellowish-white blemishes leaking out.

My White 16 Wifi has the leak...noticed it first thing after opening. *No argument there...

I just question when people are total naysayers...who also happen to own everything all the time. Glad you got yours fixed! I just bought another on line...and will be Sans-iPad2 for 2 weeks (once I return this one to Walmart)

Maybe you're just one of a few guys who always have something to complain about that apple staffs just got tired of dealing with or they are too busy taking ipad 2's order that they just gave you a replacement without question. I bought 2 ipads on launch day and have experienced no problem so far. Good luck to you and hope you'll be happy some day.

IS this going to apply to pending orders? Mine was ordered when the shipping was 4-5 weeks and scheduled now on 4/25/11

Like most who saw this article, I checked my order status. Nothing has changed (orderd 7pm PST, 3/11 and shipment date: Still 4/1 to arrive 4/6)... but I will keep in mind and realize that there is some data entry technician or system that needs some more time "refreshing" possible shipment dates. Not keeping my fingers crossed... I'll get it when I get it!

Wow, the Chinese must be cranking these out. I’m reminded of the Family Guy episode where Stewie is sewing in an Asian sweatshop, and the work director is yelling, “Faster. Faster. Replace him.” They wheel in a pregnant woman who gives birth in about a second, and in the next second, the kid is operating the sewing machine.

Delay

I ordered mine in the afternoon of the first day, and I still have to wait two more weeks to get mine. What's up with that? Hopefully my delivery date will be moved up, too! A guy can dream, can't he?!

iPad is shipping from B&H

I ordered my 16GB Wi-Fi from B&H three days ago, and it has shipped today! Way faster than the Apple Store and no tax to boot.

Check out the inventory tracker in MR iPad forum for Best Buy, Target, etc.
I placed my order online at the Apple Store and have been waiting patiently for a April 20 delivery. Yesterday I checked the inventory tracker and it turned out my local Best Buy had stock on the 16GB WiFi black, just as I ordered it from Apple. Literally 15 minutes later I was up and running with my new gear & cancelled my Apple store order. No waiting in line or wasting any more time with the whole process. Why wait if you can grab it locally?

Sorry, nothing changes. 4-5 week window 1 week ago, now a 3-4 week window...same thing. Only thing is 1 week has passed lol

Having said that I ordered mine Tuesday and it still says a ship date of 26th April, that is 6 weeks. I hope they send it earlier as I would be a little pissed if someone ordered today and got it earlier than the 26th April.

iPad2 Shipping dates.......

AARRRGGHHHH!!!! I STILL can't get an answer if the iPads2's that I ordered at 7:30 AM on 3/11 will ship before April 1-6.... It's like trying to pull teeth out of an angry, virile cat.

Does anyone know what "Prepared for Shipment" means in Apple-Speak??

iPads at US Apple Stores

Do U.S. Apple stores have any stock, whatsoever, of iPads, or are all sales being driven to the website?
