I bought mines without one click and got my confirmation of order at 1:01am. I don't see the point in one click when I was able to order just as quickly by having my details saved on my account and going through the normal order process.

my order time was 12:36 :d.. still no email confirmation though, but ordering "normally" wouldn't work - kept getting the OOPS erros

My one click is showing on the account screen now. At the moment says Shipping on the 15th April for delivery on 25th.

So glad I didn't put my eggs in the "online order" basket, I had a sneaky suspicion that it would be quite a long delivery and probably back up against easter bank holidays.
Well done to all those who got their orders in, the website is showing the same as it did when it went up (2-3 weeks) but you were probably right to start at 1am just in case loads of people rushed on last night. It will be interesting to see when they do eventually arrive.
Might wander down to one of the stores on Purley Way later to maybe pick up an HDMI adapter and see if they have any other nice 3rd party accessories/bags, also will see if the stores have any iPad 2's left, which I actually suspect they will but please don't take it to not queue if you want one guaranteed today(!)

Ah ok. The first time I tried to order it took me to checkout and the iPad wasn't in my basket. The dock was. So did it again and then it worked! Crapped myself the first time as I thought there was some sort of problem on their side. Feels good to have that order under my belt.

Not sure. I feel there's a chance these iPads will be delivered well before the despatch time shown (today even?) considering the possibility of iPads stocked in the UK for online orders.
I will pop down to the Glasgow apple store after work at 3:30pm and see what the queue is like. If it isn't too unwieldily then I'll just wait in line. If not I'll go home enjoy a cuppa and watch the news about the long lines on tv. At least I have the smart cover to play with on Monday

Re-ordered this morning
Ordered with huge amount of trouble last night at about 2am using one-click. Woke this morning and checked email - nothing and still absolutely nothing showing in 'orders' other than my yesterday afternoon smart cover.
Decided to order again not using one-click. Had to use a different card as I think the other one had a heart attack from all the 'clicking' I did at 2am!!
So this new one is already showing in orders and still the 2-3 week thing so I maybe lost nothing by just doing it this morning!! (lost sleep of course grrrrrrr)
I have to admit, I have no clue how many iPads are actually in apples system that I have 'ordered' lol - time will tell. At least now though I have the peace of mind with the one order in their system this morning!

Ordered mine by 1-click at 12.29 and have Estimated shipping 15 April but Estimated Delivery as 26 April.
Which is a tad annoying for extra day - not sure if it has something to do with green cover ordered?

did you order more than 1 thing? the iPad will be coming from china, accessories will already be here.
Umm, no it's not. Order placed on the 25th of March and shipping on the 15th of April is within the 3 week period specified when you placed the order. The delivery date is long but considering what's going on in that part of the world (and the fact that the 25th is a bank holiday) I really think that's just Apple making damn sure they hit that window, it won't take ten days to get to you.
And before anyone says anything, I'm in the same situation. Oh, except I've got the 27th not 25th. But a) from what we've seen in America it wouldn't be that surprising if deliveries were well within those estimates and b) even if it's 100% accurate it's only a few weeks wait to get an item that's in very high demand and well worth not having to get in line today or bounce around stores for the next few weeks trying to find stock. If they go past those dates I'll be ticked off but right now Apple are giving us exactly what they said they would when we made the purchase.
Now if you want to complain about the on-line Apple store being unable to cope with the launch I'll be right there with you, that was just silly...
Edit Oh and I'm now starting to wonder if I made the right smart cover choice... Black iPad, Orange Polycarbonate Cover, not a combo I've seen much from those lucky so-and-so's that have got theirs. Ah well, at least it'll be easy to find in the dark (and I ain't paying £60 for a cover no matter how nice that RED leather one looks).

16GB 3G order confirmed at 12:30am on the dot (in my account section of Apple Store). Received the confirmation email at 12:59.
Still have an estimate of 15th April shipping, and 26th April delivery. I'm not sure I could have ordered much earlier than that.
Maybe they don't have a UK batch ready to ship from somewhere in the UK for the first lot of orders. Or, if I am optimistic, they will pack and ship v soon like the smartcovers did yesterday.

I resisted, but my wife ordered one mainly for Facetime so will sell her v1. She did a 1 click order very quickly last night but has the same eta that everyone else does. Maybe that eta will change today like the smart covers did yesterday? Surely they can't have no stock at all for online orders?
So let's get this straight...
I ordered a smart cover at 2pm in red which shows 3 weeks shipping times and it is already on it's way to be delivered to me in the day via UPS.
Right now it's some where near birmingham!
BUT iPads are still no where near being shipped... Strange.
I definately think if I can get a black 3G tomo in a store I may do that. I live White but I do wonder if I'd prefer black!
Of course I won't be queueing so I doubt I will be able to get anywhere near an iPad 2 but it's ok I already have one
thats because the smart covers went up accidentally earlier with the standard shipping time. i bet that all the people that ordered one tonight with their iPads won't get them until they get their iPads. if you order them solo, you get them quicker as they're easier to get into stock as easier to make and already in the UK. the iPads are coming from China. thus the 2-3 weeks shipping then 5-7 days delivery
The first iPads ordered in the states started to arrive on the following Monday though, not 3 weeks from date of order. I agree thats what it said when I ordered....but I've decided its not good enough

yes, but the US initially had a 3-5 day shipping window for like an hour before it dropped to 2-3 weeks, since they had limited stock in the states for launch, then the rest were coming direct from china. us, the aussies and the rest of europe don't have any stock in the country and all our orders are coming from china, thus the 2-3 week shipping time from the beginning of launch. it makes me laugh how people seemed to have not realised any of this....
For anyone that missed this earlier:
Argos phone system has had the iPad 2 catalogue numbers from earlier in this thread updated. You can now differentiate between wifi & 3G by the price. It tells you size still. Just doesn't differentiate colour.
I've got the 16 Gb ones. Not tested the rest as I'm shattered.
