Barclaycard fraud prevention have just phoned to confirm my transaction with Apple so payment must be going through.

No it's not certain. No one knows. andythursby has just been trolling this thread for the past 24 hours claiming he knows the future. Obviously Apple will have a select amount of stock already with UK suppliers (as were the Smart Covers which are out for delivery), if not only to continuously supply the main Apple stores.
Truth is, no one, not even this "smart ass" andythursby knows for sure. Best bet is to wait and see
I'm not trolling. All I've done is present the facts as we have them, just like many other People have done on this forum. You don't like the facts and have just been childish with calling me a troll.
It's common knowledge that iPad online orders are coming from china. That's why it's got a 2-3 week shipping time. If they had some in the UK the first batch would have said shipping in 3-5 days just like it did in the US before it dropped to 2-3 weeks.
The smart covers are a non-issue as they are easier to mass produce. That's why theyre shipping sooner. It appears that if you order one individually you get them sooner but if you order one with an iPad it will get bundled together.
As for you. Grow up and stop calling me a troll just cos you don't like the facts. I've tried being civil to you. If you keep being immature I'll just ignore you.
Dude no-one's claiming to 'know' Apple's stock procedures, they're just noting that according to logic and precedent it is extremely unlikely that online orders are gonna show up for some time. That doesn't mean that they won't, just that it would be unwise to expect them to do so!

They were just a doing a demo on Sky News HD on their Sunrise programme stating how fantastic the device is and how its cheaper then the first model etc.
What was funny was they were testing a 3G model on Orange and the signal kept dropping saying searching.

Orange: Not for a few days
Vodaphone: Not for a few days
Carphone Warehouse: Not for weeks
Argos: Not for a long time (This is a big store selling iPad 1's too!) (None in Hertfordshire have iPad 2's)
John Lewis: We have 3 total, and not one of the ones you want.
PCWorld: Yes, but we expect long queues.
Great. I finish uni at 2, and that wont be long enough queuing apparently.

After going to bed on a 1-Click order last night, I woke up this morning to no email... but the order is viewable in the 'My Account' section of the store (at least it was at 6am, now I can't get in, presumably because everyone who couldn't stay up late last night has got into work and is having a punt).
Hopefully I can get some clarification from someone...

nope but i dont think its a big deal. i also checked at 6am this morning (bloody knackered) and my order was in the order status page with a shipping date of 3 weeks
