Was at Apple Covent Garden and Regent St this morning. No delivery at all for Regent St but a few white wifi models at Covent Garden.

Saw that they had some stock at Argos online, just don't feel comfortable ordering from Argos. If it had bad backlight bleed I just think it would be a nightmare to get it replaced. (Then again I could be wrong)

Guess i'll have to wait for my Online order from Apple to be dispatched.

I wish they told us more, mine's: "We'll deliver your order on Tuesday 26th April 2011 7:00 am - 6:00 pm." I wish they used a carrier instead of their own which has no tracking.
 
Oh my god, my order is going insane, i've ordered a 16gig black engraved with a dock. For the last couple of days my shipping-delivery was 28th April- 2nd May, then it went to 28th-4th, now its just split into two orders saying

Call up Argos, and ask for the home delivery network tracking number if they're using them. I managed to get it after the second time they failed to deliver it.

You can take an Argos ordered iPad to any Apple store or re-seller for exchange or repair.

Mine says 'We'll deliver your order on Saturday 23rd April 2011 7:00 am - 6:00 pm.' but nothing else. I remain sceptical, given the time now on a bank holiday and I can only assume it hasn't been dispatched. I might give Argos a call in the morning to see if I can get a tracking number out of them.

It's not clear which courier they're using, all it says is 'Delivery method: Home delivery'.

Tomorrow is going to be stressful. Every white van that goes past my house is going to get my hopes up.

Argos have their own delivery team and logistics division, so you probably won't get a tracking number.

I'd take a safe bet, since the last time I used them, they delivered during Christmas, albeit an awkward time, between the 25th and the 1st.

They let me pick the delivery time so naturally I picked the soonest which is between 7am-3pm tomorrow. I'm sceptical that they pull it off with the bank holidays but I'll happily be wrong :eek:.

The problem is I had an existing preorder with Apple and from the looks of things they have put some kind of hold on the money in my account for when they shipped, which seems a bit dodgy to me as most retailers don't charge you until just before shipment. Hopefully that doesn't slow things down.

I already got mine which I ordered from Currys a few weeks ago.
I ordered for a friend who was desperately trying to get one from Argos
on MOnday and booked delivery day Wed 12-7pm they phoned me as it was coming to my address Wed at 6pm and said they were running late the iPad arrived 8.40pm.
So hopefully you should be ok

What did you order?

I can tell you now that they don't have any iPad stock, and are expecting it within the next 2-4 weeks.

Argos only use their own delivery company for large goods (eg. Sofa's)

As iPads are deemed small goods they use home delivery network.

They delivered a printer to me by their own delivery company. The printer isn't exactly big...
 
I too ordered an iPad from Argos yesterday (Fri) morning around 7am and it said it would be delivered today (Sat) between 7am and 3pm.

On checking the status a bit later yesterday (being slightly obsessed) the delivery slot had been extended from 7am to 6pm.

Today the status shows that the order has been dispatched for delivery between 7am and 6pm.

Like the earlier poster I'm a little sceptical about delivery during a bank holiday weekend but fingers crossed...
