Any word on UK unlock status regarding us buying these little beauties on a PAYG plan from networks?

Believe that *ALL* iPads (incl 2) are network-unlocked by default.

Interesting how they got 4.3 in the US ones for launch as it was only released on the 11th and presumably the iPads shipped to stores perhaps a week before that.
The GM version came out around a week before, release 4.3 was the same version - guess if they did differ, iTunes would download the latest anyway.
I would say try and reserve one in Argos first! If not I havnt heard great things about cpw, my mate works there and didn't even know about the release!? I would say

I went into the apple store yesterday near me to ask about a leather smart cover (I have a blue plastic cover) and almost every employee in there crowded around me so I let them pass it around and play with it for a bit!
On the subject of SIM cards and data - last year I bought a 12GB/12 month 3 SIM and cut it down to micro sim size. It is still keeping me going! I have 2GB left and/or 75 days until data runs out/expires.
I realised that there aren't many 12Gb sims around anymore so just bought 2 off amazon. They cost £33 each. I much prefer having a payg SIM with tons of data that I don't have to worry about running out anytime soon.
But the best thing about these 12 months sims aren't the data amount but the fact it lasts 12 months... It is really convenient!

This actually sounds awesome. Would you also be able to use this when you go abroad or is it limited to the Uk then?
I still can't decide whether i just order one or if i gamble a risk trying to get one from Argos after work.....

i assume it will be just like any other product.. ie, you can reserve for stoer pick up, but can only pick up from 5pm onwards... ?

I very much doubt they will have reservations for them it would be epic if they did, save me standin in lime at the apple store for ages!

Chillax some. I'm pretty confident we will get some more info today or tomorrow but would lean more towards today, Apple are going to have to get some more public info out even if it's what we already know (5pm launch, 2 per customer etc.) at least it will all be fully confirmed from the unicorns mouth!
