iPad 3 to Have 'Truly Amazing' Screen

However, unlike the issues with the iPhone 4/4S, it's really hard to improve on the design of the current iPad 2 itself. That's why most speculation that the iPad 3 will look almost like the iPad except for the new high-resolution screen and new internals are probably true. Hopefully, Apple sees it fit to improve the Wi-Fi antenna, though (the iPad 2's sensitivity is not that great, as I found out at my brother's house when it has difficulty finding the Wi-Fi signal more than 25 feet from the router).

There's some reason to hope that the WIFI is better..

I'm really curious to find out hoe iPhone apps will look on ipad3. 4x scaling will look hideous at best. I'm still puzzled why current iPad scales down and up retina-optimized iPhone apps.

I would assume that if they are going to continue scaling iPhone apps, they would scale the retina artwork. Same 2x scaling that we have now.

Need Greater Capacity

I need the capacity to be doubled to 128 Gb. !

I couldn't care less about a better screen.

this is also one of my biggest concerns, how will the scaling work? maybe resolution switches back to 1024x768 when you load an app that size? which is probably highly unlikely.

🙂 It could work the same way it does now. "Switching back to 1024x768" is exactly the same thing as switching to 2x display for an iPhone app. For iPhone apps, instead of scaling the original 320x480 artwork, they could scale the retina artwork.

ya, i was gonna buy iPad 2 now, but I'm only gonna wait a few more weeks ONLY because of the resolution .... I just wanna "see" how *amazing* the screen will actually be.... .

Whats the disadvantage for skipping the iPad 3? What, "other than this un-clear resolution" would i be missing out on ?

And quite frankly, I sure hope its gonna be like most other "manufactures who fail" with their ultra books, and/or smart phones like Android. (resolution may be though the roof, but unclear at that res.... only Apple can do it right)

So, hopefully Apple will not follow this example.
