Makes me even gladder that I got the Wifi model.

That said, it's absolutely ridiculous for these restrictions on a device that's so focused on content consumption. Great job AT&T....piss off your users even more.

Just went to the app store, have seven updates available... Some are over 20mb and require a network connection. Ok, where is the unlimited in all of this? Unlimited limited service.

Sorry I said I was breaking up with you wifi iPad... I was wrong, I don't love the cheap ho I was leaving you for.

I just bought my iPad today. Wifi only, everyone waiting in line outside was probably wondering what I was doing. But anyway, I have been planning to get a mifi service probably through clearwire. Sounds like it would be the better choice due to AT&T being dicks with all these restrictions. I may even go full skype and use my iPhone through clearwire. Not sure if that will be quite as usable as I would want it to be though.

Hmm...I've been waiting for a 3G iPad as well, but this info isn't very promising. Not thrilled with all the limitations you guys are reporting.

The ABC app will likely be updated to allow for use over 3G. Heck, Netflix works over 3G, at full quality (when bandwidth permits).

TEG

Phs300 + wifi iPad = 3G connection anywhere with no restrictions :D

Glad I decided to go this route!

That sucks for the 3G folks. I'm glad I have my Wifi iPad

Really? Really?? Come on...the 3G also has a wifi radio. So now when i'm away from a known wifi hotspot, guess what? I have 3G as a choice...u don't

I'm glad I have my 3G/Wifi iPad

Maybe I was the only one that did not expect great video service over AT&T 3G....

I look at 3G as being able to browse the web, check the news apps, see some picture sites, simple stuff....

That's exactly what I was thinking the 3G access was for, not a replacement for the speed and reliability of wifi.

Another thing, all these people acting shocked about the limitations; we don't even have tethering yet and for some reason you thought that you'd be able to use all these video apps to their full ability and get great quality? Really?

I think the "glad" part was that they did not have to wait 3 weeks to get their Ipad and spend the extra $ to get the "ERROR" message provided free of charge by ATT.

I'm not Claire, but yes, really. I haven't been anywhere yet that doesn't have wifi.

Your world has been delivered

I know it sucks, but that's all some of us have. Some how, I moved into a bubble where I get no internet service other than though ATT Wireless or Verizon Wireless. My MiFi has a 5GB cap that I have to use for work. So iPad Unlimited, slow as it may be, it's better than nothing.

And when I can get on WiFi, I will hehe.

I have a choice of 4G, verizon or sprint. We both have choices :D

These restrictions are nothing different than the iPhone when it is on 3G. The ABC app said "WIFI Only" in the description from day one when it was released. You're getting unlimited data with no cap for the same price as the iPhone data plan and you don't have to sign a long term contract.

Some people can never be pleased...

Who is your MiFi provider -- 5GB Cap?

Verizon MiFi for business is unlimited -
