I feel two gangs being formed right now. Haha.![]()
3Gers vs WIFIers.
REGULATORRRRRRRRRRS, Mount up!
So who's Taking theirs back to get wifi version?
I didn't think it had a GPS chip. Doesn't it just use A-GPS by checking the cell towers? And I think the WiFi version also has A-GPS.Me. Paid $116 for the 3G 64gig and a Camera Connection Kit after returning my WiFi 64gig. The GPS chip makes it worth it for me.
Don't forget there's a silent third gang called "The Tetherers".
There is no contract so you don't need to pay monthly if you don't need it all the time. You can activate and cancel at will.
I have not purchased one, but I'm going to get the 3G. My plan is to only pay for it when I travel, and not all the time. I think no-contract is the best feature of the 3G.Sure, you can cancel it, but then you paid an extra $129 just to have the peace-of-mind that you can connect to AT&T's crappy network while paying money for their limited "unlimited" 3G. Great.

I think the WiFi version also has A-GPS.
But you paid more.
That's exactly what I was thinking the 3G access was for, not a replacement for the speed and reliability of wifi.
Another thing, all these people acting shocked about the limitations; we don't even have tethering yet and for some reason you thought that you'd be able to use all these video apps to their full ability and get great quality? Really?
2. Guardian Eyewitness app requires wireless network to view photographs
Well, Apple's devious marketing tricked me. I took Wi-Fi + 3G model as being both models, but now that you've explained it, I understand what it means. Thanks."Looking closer at the Wireless and cellular category in Apples iPad tech specs. Wi-Fi model is one configuration and Wi-Fi + 3G model is the other. From the Location section it could be interpreted that Assisted GPS is included in the Wi-Fi and 3G models (meaning both) but Apple actually uses the plus-sign in Wi-Fi + 3G model to mean the high-end, 3G model). Apples marketing took some liberties with the plus-sign. So, to clarify, the 3G model has GPS and the Wi-Fi model doesnt have GPS"
Haha I'm thinking about joining them...
Maybe I was the only one that did not expect great video service over AT&T 3G....
I look at 3G as being able to browse the web, check the news apps, see some picture sites, simple stuff....

ATT won't take a PO Box for a billing address. They will on the iphone but no go on iPad. Had to change my billing address of 27 years.... now that's a pisser.![]()
