iPad (3rd Generation) Shipped!

Just got an email from Apple saying that my iPad 3 has been shipped. I checked the Fedex tracking and it says shipping has been initiated with the following:

Anticipated ship date: March 7, 2012
Delivery Date: March 9, 2012.

Looks like ill be getting my iPad early 🙂
 
How is yours shipped when I still haven't received an email from Apple yet for confirmation of my purchase?

Anyone else didn't receive there order confirmation yet either?
 
i've had my email like 2 minutes after i bought the ipad

and i've seen someone else on the internet have their shipment status already at "preparing to ship" (he was trying to cancel lol!)
 
I've gotten my conformation, shortly after the order actually.

But i feel OP is either a troll, or its just the order information going in to fedex
 
Wow, I got my confirmation but no shipment date. I was just thinking of the sheer number of iPads that Apple had to produce to fill pre-orders and supply simultaneous roll-outs in that many countries. I guess the rumor last week about them buying out all of the shipping airspace out of China was true indeed. Crazy the type of clout Apple has.

I just noticed that the delivery dates differ from fedex and the email i got. But either way, this one says March 14, even though it says that it will be delivered on the 16th.
 
FedEx ground what? Lol either they arent shipping from china, or that iPad is going to take forever to get there 🙂

Good idea... the only flaw is that it wasn't possible to get overnight shipping and anyone who pays extra for shipping for an item that isn't an absolute necessity needs to be hit over the head with a brick.

Wow, i didnt even notice that. They're usually shipped direct from China, but as Kobyh15 above was mentioning, Apple bought a whole bunch of freight space through DHL to get iPads in in time for launch. I'm skeptical as to whether they're already here in the states. Usually pre-orders are always shipped directly from China.
