When are people going to stop forwarding delusions by Kuo. The minute I see that name, I look around for little green men.

But why would you take pictures on your ipad?

Our firm uses them to take site photos on constructions sites. It's quite convenient to have our management software and image capture on the same device. We don't have to have people sign out cameras any more and then transfer images to the system back in the office. It's all done in one unit now.

Awesome.

I would bet you have an iPhone or another phone/camera that does have a flash. If you sell a lot of stuff on eBay it might be a good investment to get a better camera...

It is FAR easier to post things with iPad then iPhone, or a regular camera and computer.

Obviously you do not post much on eBay, otherwise you would know.

New design, finger print sensor, space grey colour, smaller, 8mp camera, A7, New smart covers for the new design..

This Ipad is going to be amazing. Biggest update since Ipad 2 I think.

You are correct, I do not post a lot on eBay but I do see a lot of lousy photos on there

I will say my 5MP Ipad sometimes takes better day pictures than my Iphone 5at the moment anybody know the reason for this? Sometimes the colour and detail seem better with less pixels?

Have you taken pictures at the same time (so that conditions are a similar as possible) with both the iPad (5MP) and iPhone (8MP)?

There you go, another valid reason. (the only other one I have seen here is the fact that sometimes the iPad is ready to go and a camera/phone is not available when a good picture opportunity comes up)

Mine is the same. I thought it was a fluke and my lens was a nice perfect lens, but it takes amazing day shots.

I disagree. The camera on the mini is awful, the screen is fine without having to jump to retina display. Is retina really going to make your 720p films look that much better?

It's about competition. If Apple wants to keep selling more of these they need to upgrade the screen.

I don't care if someone is laughing at me if I'm taking a photo with an iPad. It's their problem, not mine.
I would like to have a led flash option too

Yeah, it's their problem when you block their view of what is going on.

I know I told this story before on macrumors. While on vacation to the beach this past year, the family and I all went to the local aquarium. Nice place, lots to see/do, etc... The only problem was the sea of arse-hats holding up their iPads with super bright monitors glaring in your face, to take pictures EVERYWHERE!! At times, it was having a solid wall of iPad in front of you, while you wanted to see the exhibits. Very annoying and amazingly rude.

THAT is why people get annoyed with the "I'm taking a photo with an iPad. It's their problem, not mine." attitude. Because yes, at times, it is really annoying, rude and inconsiderate.

Every iDevice is always upgraded with a improved camera.

How about performance and software?

Less pixels > More space per pixel > Better pixels
More pixels > Less space per pixel > Worse pixels

Accuracy versus Resolution – you can't push both to the max, because space is limited in a mobile device.

I'm with you. But this problem depends on the kind of persons you're dealing with. I always try to respect other's needs and I never act like the people you described. My point is that I don't feel "stupid" for taking photos with an iPad. If someone thinks so, it's his problem, not mine.

I used to wonder who would use/need a camera on an iPad.......then i went to London for a week and loads of people were using them.

Mum has an iPad mini and she uses it for taking photos, her eyesight isn't great so she loves using the large screen rather than struggling with her old 2 inch screen camera, she's happy with the pictures so nothing else matters really.
