Still waiting for the delay that everyone who ordered cellular in UK seems to be seeing but so far whilst still saying Processing it is still on the 22nd-24th delivery. So I have a small glimmer of hope for a pre-weekend delivery but with money still untouched I suspect that it is just a matter of time for the push back.

I hate to be negative, but at this point I think widespread delays on cellular order delivery estimates are almost inevitable. I've got a 128GB silver cellular+WiFi Air 2 on preorder (got my confirmation email at 4.06pm last Friday). The web store is still quoting 22nd-24th for delivery, but the hold on my payment card from Friday has lapsed.

As I mentioned in an earlier post, I visited the Apple Store in Belfast this morning, and the staff seemed genuine when they told me they had "no information" about when even they would get their first cellular models in stock. You'd imagine they would at least have a couple for display. Not a good sign..

Hopefully I'm wrong! (I usually am.)

From previous pre-order experiences, the tracking and order status doesn't seem to reflect what is happening with your delivery. The knock on the door is usually a complete surprise and days earlier than expected.

I wonder if the delays LTE buyers in the US and UK are seeing is related to the Apple SIM. Maybe the carriers are putting up a last stand against something that will clearly eat into their margins in a few iPhone/iPad generations.

As mentioned my 64GB LTE reports "shipped". This is Germany where we don't get Apple SIMs.

A good indicator is https://supportprofile.apple.com/

With my last couple of web store purchases (iPhone 6 and iPad Air 1), the models showed up there immediately as they were allocated as preparing for dispatch. There's nothing for my Air 2 there yet.

I don't see why it would hold it up in the UK as the Apple SIM is only supported by EE.

Indeed! It may even be a logistical delay with pre-installing or producing the Apple SIMs. I certainly hope not because I don't even want one! I'll be installing my existing SIM from my now-sold Air 1 into mine. I suppose the Apple SIM could be handy for US travel but surely they could just send it separately by post.

Mine has just arrived and wow what a difference. I've got from an iPad 1 3G to a space grey 64gb air 2, and what a difference it is.

The display is so crisp in comparison and so light. Can't wait to get everything downloaded and up and running on this thing!

My 128GB cellular order, which had slipped today, has now reverted to the original date of 27 Oct, 2014 - 29 Oct, 2014. Seems like they don't know what they are doing.

Just picked up my wifi only 64gb silver from the Covent Garden Apple Store. No cellular models received at all today; some time within the next two weeks apparently. I'm going to give wifi-only a go for a week or so and see if I can live with tethering - if not, I'll exchange within the 14 day window.

Went into new Edinburgh store but there were none out on display and on asking was told they were hoping to get them for sale for end of today but tomorrow most likely.

Walked in to John Lewis which had a couple on display and all colour and size options available. (WiFi models) Quite poor from Apple I thought, a third party store getting them before apples own store.

Mine arrived this morning :D Should be a nice upgrade from my iPad 3 & I was pleased to find the screen feel is better than the iPad Air I use at work - much less "springy".

I don't doubt the veracity of the single post from a UK member who has received their cellular order. It's a bit tricky to square with the fact that at least four of us have been to various Apple retail stores today and none of them have cellular models, even for display. That's unusual.

Just been to the Norwich Apple Store, none out on display, but got myself an Air 2 64 wifi. Didn't ask about availability of the cellular ones.
Now to sell the original Air, Game offers me £250 cash for it. Anyone know of other places that pay more? Not to keen on putting it on eBay, less hassle...

Delivery date changed again...

Ordered 10 mins after store went live. Delivery estimate had been 22-24 until last night, when it changed to 27-30. Just in the past 10 minutes it's gone back to 22-24.

Confused much...

Until I get a dispatch notification I think I'll keep checking back with the store on the way into work — want a cellular model.

They tried to deliver mine this morning before anyone was home, so now I've arranged to pick it up from the UPS depot on the way home from work this evening.

Excited! :D

My order has just changed again - back to 22-24 Oct! They are toying with us!!!..... still shows as 'Processing' though.

I went into Apple Store before (Trafford) and they only had wifi units. Had no idea when cellular arriving.
