Glad I'm not the only one who's had their dates change - now says 28th - 30th October. :(

My wifi + cellular 128gb Air 2 order is still processing (ordered just after 4pm last Friday)....... But now delivery estimate has changed from 22 - 24 Oct to 28 - 30 Oct. Not impressed!!!!!

Hmmm. Ordered same time, confirmed 16:05 and so far still 22nd to 24th for my SG 64GB Cellular. Still processing though. Looks like they move the day before delivery.

My 128 cellular just changed from 27-29 October to 31 October-04 November. So not only did it move back, the window got even more vague. At this rate my Kindle Voyage will be here first.

Crikey steve-p, that is quite a push back. When did you place the order? This is what gets me, the shop is still saying 2-4 days bar the 128 which says 4-6. That is already pushing you beyond that even if it was a new order. The weekend doesn't help like but still....

I didn't order until Monday but it did say 4-6 days at the time I ordered, which is clearly not going to happen. Assuming "business days" are Mon-Fri, I make that 9-12 days at the current estimate.

As of this morning, https://www.apple.com/uk/retail/ is stating the iPad Air 2 is "now available" at the Apple Retail Store ("*supplies may be limited").

There's no reservation system or details on whether the cellular models will be available but I'm going to my local store this morning. If they have the cellular models I'll be cancelling my web order (obviously).

Have to say I'm disappointed with the roll-out of the new iPad — no announcement of the launch date, odd online preorder time, inconsistent delivery estimates, etc..

Drifted past Covent Garden Mac Store at 8am this morning - would normally have expected to see a huddle and a pile of boxes at the back at least, but no activity - looks like in-store date is not today. First time pre-orders have ever arrived before in-store availability?

The Apple Retail store website changed this morning to state "now available". Was "available soon" yesterday. Unless it's a glitch, it's today. This is a very soft launch, it seems. I wonder if it has anything to do with cellular models coming a few days later.

My order still says Processing.

John Lewis are selling iPad Air 2's with next day delivery for an extra £6, delivered tomorrow.

And you get 2 years warranty.

My 128GB cellular is showing the same as originally (23rd to 27th Oct) - it's not slipped back but is still on 'processing'. At this point I think that's a good sign ;)

Confirmation email was at 4.07pm Friday,

It was the odd online preorder time that caused me to miss it by a few minutes - which I was OK with as I had a 22nd-24th delivery estimate...

However, now that estimate was revised to 28th-30th, I'm not all that happy.

Reviews today saying the battery life is not as good, which was one of the main things I loved about the older iPads.

Battery still over 10 hours.

Cancel the order and get it from John Lewis.

They are doing 2 year warranty and next day delivery.

Thanks - will be going back there at 11 and will report back...

Actually, it did happen with the original iPad. A lot of us got them the day before it was in the shops.

I just used trial and error, putting my delivery number into couriers that Apple use until I found my order (with UKMail)

Mine's out for delivery, should be here between 14:22 and 15:22

I've tried that but I've had no luck so far.

What's the point of a tracking system that doesn't tell you who is delivering the parcel?

I am keeping an eye on them - as soon as the cellular one is on line it will be in my basket. I rang them yesterday and they had no indication when it would go live.

Date slipped

I ordered my WiFi + Cellular 64 GB Space Grey Air 2 within minutes of the store coming back up. Got the confirmation email at 16:07. Just this minute the delivery estimate has updated to Delivery: 28 Oct, 2014 - 30 Oct

:(
