You guys married the wrong woman....I told my wife I ordered it and she said "when do I get my Retina Mini?" I knew she was the right woman when I told her I was getting a new TV and she asked what size screen....after I answered, she said "get a bigger one"....beauty and brains (her, not me)

Count your blessings! I'm not married and that's one of the reasons lol. I remember my realtor telling me how in the months leading to his wedding, he kept on buying all the gadgets he wanted,,, and since then he hasn't bought a new thing.

You have to be careful, cause with that $400 mini she'll probably want a new sleeve. It could be coach ($200) (if you're lucky) or a Prada one ($500) :D

Will the stock price go up? :-\

Let see how much demand out there for the Air!!!!

Strange, placed an order through the apple app right at midnight (I'm at pacific time) and now it's 6:30 almost and still haven't received my personal pick up notification yet.

The T-Mobile website only offers the 16GB and 32GB iPad Air models. Looks like if I want the T-Mobile 64GB iPad Air I will have to go to a T-Mobile retail store to take advantage of the interest free loan offer. Since I am a current T-Mobile customer maybe I can get the $10 sim card waived.

No worries. I ordered two for p/u in different states. One in VA was ready at 5:30 and the one in GA still not. But I think if you went to the store w/ your confirmation but w/o notification they'd give you your iPad anyway. Store probably have different staffing levels and priority is helping people in the stores and will get to the p/us when the launch traffic dies down.

At any rate it looks like Apple is well stocked for the weekend at least.

Bought mine already. $701 with Tax for the Silver iPad Air 32GB. No lines at the Eaton Center thank god. It was way too early for a Friday morning in Toronto so it was pretty easy to buy this thing compared to previous times when they released it at 1pm in the afternoon.

My closest Apple Store is an hour away, so I went to my local Wal-mart at midnight (EDT). They had a sign up in the electronics area that said that they had 5 units (2 16GB Space Gray, 2 16GB White, and 1 32GB White). They also had an area cordoned off with a sign saying "iPad Air line starts here at 8am). I ended up going back home and stopping in on my way to work. I got there at 8:30am and the cordoned off area and signs had been removed. When I got to the iPad case, there were 4 of the 5 Airs remaining. I bought the 32GB white, although I preferred the Space Gray. I might check my Target and Meijer later today to see if they have the 32GB in gray.

Waiting for my Pick E-mail from the Kenwood, Cincinnati, OH store, for a 128GB AT&T Space Gray. Stopped at Sam's Club on the way to work and they had some iPad Airs Wifi Only. Also Microcenter seems to have WiFi Only iPad Airs too.

Strolled into the local Apple Store here (the only one in Suffolk County, NY) around 08:45AM. Absolutely no line. One of the blue-shirts told me they had about 40 people lined up before the store opened which is really underwhelming for this store. I'm sure the Mini Retina launch will be much busier though since it's a pretty good upgrade compared to the previous generation. My wife is holding out for a Mini Retina but in the meantime I left the store in 5 minutes w/ a space grey 64GB wifi Air.

Upgraded from iPad3 to Air

I got mine today after standing in line for several hours. I am happy I did because this device is lightning fast.... :)

Ordered mine online with Apple Czech Republic early this morning, but when I realised stock was plentiful in most electrical stores here, I took a walk to the mall next to my office and picked up a white 32GB version, cancelling the online order of course. Haven't set it up yet, but really impressed with the weight compared to my iPad3.

I'm in the same boat. My bride is always excited for me when I get a new device. She isn't into tech like I am but she appreciates it. She's getting my 2013 Nexus 7 as soon as I get home from the Apple store. Cheers!

Staff are probably every happy it was so small. Trying to deal with a huge line is maddening. That's part of why the in store pickup is so smart. No mad rush first thing and going for ages.

Great boat to be in! Enjoy the Air....getting mine in about an hour...

I just ordered mine now. Apple clearly has plenty of supply this time around, because it'll arrive on Monday. I thought they might, so I didn't bother ordering late last night. I could've done in-store pick-up, but I'm in no rush. I was really planning on getting a miniPad this year but the combination of AirPad shrinkage and miniPad delays made me think this was the right choice.

Done and dusted

I'm in the UK and thanks to MR stating they believed stock was plentiful I decided to have a lay in and popped into my local Apple Store at 12pm and picked up a silver 64GB wifi without issues.

Apparently they've been selling a lot but still have stock of all models.

Ordered at precisely 8am local central european time.

128GB Silver Wifi + Cellular with product red smartcase. 24 hour shipping.

Anyone in Sweden looking for a 64GB Wifi + Cellular iPad mini w/ product red smartcase? 3.000kr and its yours :)

I purchased the prev gen iPad and I know that ONLY Verizon has the feature to turn the iPad into a "Wireless Hot Spot" as AT&T had some issues with it.

Does anyone know if it's still the case with this iPad? I would like to turn into a Hotspot, once in a while..

So you might say why don't you just get the Verizon version then? I live in the suburbs and the Verizon signal isn't as strong as AT&T.
